Great news. Hope we get him the ball next year. I think he's a playmaker. He just needs some space to operate.

LMAO, shutting these negative mf's down

He better try running an offense first. Every negative poster has every right to be po'd. We're tired of 5 star athletes not getting the ball, we're tired of guys getting preferential treatment, we're tired of mismatched not being exploited because Les wants to run a Big-10 offense.

I think you made a wise decision... Now we have QB's that can actually throw and hit a wide open receiver... 2012 is the year...

Glad Shepard is coming back. Since I don't Twitter, I basically saved hours of my life from reading the incredibly compelling saga of Shepard (a) deciding he would declare for NFL draft, (b) twittering it all over the place to fellow twitterers, (c ) changing his mind, (d) twittering the decision.

Excellent - good to hear. One more outside option we have to bring us to the promise land.

Does it matter if he comes back? He is about 1.1% of our offense.

He is a super kid and a great athlete but he is not involved significantly.

i translate that comment to "shep was butthurt/he mad, but he had good reasons"

based on his tweets, i hope that the talk with miles was one in confidence related to mett, and not just hopeless optimism/team pumping up/leadership of shep hoping

Russell,

You'll be as happy with your decision as all of us are!

One unsolicited suggestion though. Give ex-Tiger Devery Henderson a call and pick his brain on the routines he used to improve his skills at running routes and especially improving his hands. You two are a lot alike as far as size, blazing speed and having converted to receiver from another position. I know he has worked hard and successfully. Use his input. FWIW.

You don't know what the frick you are talking about. Unless you are a member of his family, you can't possibly understand what he is going through

I just hope he didn't have any improper contact between the time he thought he was declaring and now.
