Except kicking a guy when he is down and out...allegedly.
I love how some current and former Tigers are making this ONLY about a certain JJ. Poor him.
The other JJ seems to be less implicated/involved, but more harshly punished, and no one cares.

Kind of a weak argument after JJ has started games for LSU for Three seasons.

The other 3 did not start anything but got pummeled. Spoken like a 6'9" 240 pound dude that has not been in that situation of getting a broken back.

It is always turned into the race card. Thank goodness Johns was arrested to shut that crap up

I JJ, although caught up in the moment as many of us have at a bar, probably set out to give the guy the arse-whippin he had comin, only JJ took it beyond arse-whippin. Whe he won the fight, he kept going, beyond the guys ability to defend himself, and to serious injury. I don't believe he did it with that intent, but he just stopped thinking rationally. I feel horrible for JJ, by all accounts a good kid, from what little I know. I seriously hope he can rebound from all of this and have a career. I know he feels horrible, and scared, my prayers are with him. I also wonder, Why no debate over Josh Johns? WHat about his future, and

I remember seeing Eric Andolsek practically passed out and bloodied after a huge brawl with dozens of participants, when he was in his 3rd year at LSU. This was at the Colonel's Retreat in Thibodaux, and well before the age of twitter, cell phones, and cell phones with cameras. NOTHING CAME OF THE FIGHT and you never even heard a whisper of it at LSU.
He was with Jimmy Goodrum, Cheryl, and Deedee (their wives) and got jumped by 10+ NSU frat fricks. Not a fight but an ambush leaving all others bruised. Yea, they even managed to hit the wives trying to get to Eric. He fought like a savage and ended up on the ground trying to crawl under a truck.....while pulling a couple of shite birds with him. In the end, he was left angry, frustrated and holding a golf club praying they wood return. We canvassed the area in following weeks for retribution but they wisely stayed hidden. Francis Dugas the DA at the time wanted their arse but it was just a bar fight.
I cant believe someone knew about this....

Yes and those guys should have gone to jail.

"Pathetic" is a term apropos to folks selling JJ down the river and in some cases doing so because his QB skills don't meet muster.
Yeah. That is the only reason some want him suspended.
Maybe some, like me, want suspension(s) because there needs to be discipline on the team now and long term.
Miles has lost control enough for the President to step up and give Miles help.
But, Macklin is wrong. Comparing eras in college athletics is apples and oranges. Big media and big money have changed this game on and off the field to something hardly recognizable to the 80's and earlier.

Opinion, in the Duke incident was against the athletes. How did that work out? To the BRPDs credit they searched for facts before making a charge. Deal with it.

I hope that Rudy isn't trying to bring racism into this with his saying that,
I personally think that most people including myself did want to see JJ play QB without the burden of being in Gary Crowton's miserable offensive system. There's always going to be a few ignorant backwards people both white & black that'll base their likes & dislikes strictly on race, and those people have the extreme displeasure of living with themselves everyday. That's the great equalizer IMO.
I think both JJ's have been treated unfairly, and I totally agree with Rudy that the chicken-shite perps should have just taken their "butt-whippin' and go home".
The marine's should be embarrassed by ex-girlfriend stalker and former marine Andrew Lowery.

God, I wished they would have walked away
That is exactly what they should have done but that's hindsight.God,I wish they had made a better choice and obeyed rules and they wouldn't have been in the parking lot at Shady's Bar.They would have been in their apartments where there were many others who obeyed the rules. All choices have consequences. Some learn it from(OPE)other people's experience and others have to learn it first hand and suffer tremendous consequences as a result.Let this be a lesson to all that choices have consequences both good and bad.

I remember an incident where a black cop arrested a black man and was accused of being racist. His answer was I arrested a "criminal" who happens to be black.Sometimes racism is used far to often to try and excuse bad behavior.

In all of this stupid incident what bothers me the most is how Bobby Hebert can say on a Atlanta Radio station on Tuesday JJ will never play a another snap at LSU. Thiers more to this story then we will ever know.Don't the University have spies that follow these players and report back to maybe Miles are someone higher up?

how many so called "fans" really wanted to see Jefferson fail so hard.
THAT is total BS on fans seeing JJ fail. I call it on you for even posting this. Fans wanted to SEE LSU succeed. When JJ succeeding is part of that, GREAT! I was / a strong JL supporter until the Bama game last year where I really thought JJ turned the corner and was finally the QB most thought he could be. I am 100% behind JJ and hope and pray that he is somehow vindicated of all this mess ASAP.
As far as Rudy, he was one of my fav player from back in the day. I was at LSU from 83-88. I went to the superdome to watch the Elite 8 in '81 and believe that his injury cost us the NC. He is wrong in this situation as far as this fight. This isn't the 80s when athletes on campus got away with everything. This isn't the 80s where racial discrimination exists on the LSU football team or with its fans. The face of LSU football changed in 1995 when a freshmen QB from NO. became LSU's starter. Since then we have had 3 starting Qbs that were African American who have started more game than caucasions for certain.
LSU fans want LSU to win no matter who the QB is.

I'm not real partial to any of the QB's. They all have their special traits. I don't think it is a large number of Lee camp and Mett camp people cheering for JJ to fail, but the ones on here are loud and vocal (and stupid). Karma will take care of them.

Why can't anybody out there understand Jefferson's DONE!
However way to want to spin it in your minds fine. Chief of police should be fired for doing his job. In street frights this is what happens blah blah blah
The dude is in jail because he is a thug. I'm glad he is. Now let's move on to J. Lee and hopefully ZM.
The fact you think Jefferson will redshift is even more funny.
Actually our mission statement for the LSU athlectics should be: In thugs we trust

I will only respond to a portion of your post since the rest is nonsense.
Miles pretty much said JJ will be back with the team in his presser.
He is not done.
