This is what makes me question PM's pitching decisions. I was hoping Gilbert who hasn't pitched in awhile would have started the 8th with Newman warming instead of the reverse. If Gilbert had an easy 8th then let him start the 9th and finish if he didn't get in trouble with Newman in reserve. PM thinks everything will go to plan. But since he put Newman in he should have let Newman finish with Gilbert in reserve. A heartbreaking loss results since Gilbert just didn't have it today. How many times do we have to see this repeated over and over again. He simply doesn't stay with the hot hand or waits too long to even warm up someone.

Yeah I don't see it either. This team will make a regional but I don't see how we will make it out of the supers if we even make it that far. Just being honest after decades of watching lsu baseball and I don't see it. I hope they prove me wrong.

This seems to be a weak LSU team. They get the lead and bats become marshmallows. Beaten by a weak faggie team too. DIS heartening

Exactly. This loss is on manieri and nobody else. You don't shuffle pitchers like that just to do it. If a pitcher is in a groove then you stay with him until he gets into trouble. I thought that was baseball 101.

Correct. 4 fricking hits against a Sunday starter for a 2-6 team. We got lucky and we're efficient on getting runs out of them today. Should have won today but this team will lose with their hitting more than win. Pitching is not elite to carry this type of hitting
