why would a QB being physical or a QB being slow have any indication on whether he can effectively run an RPO? Finley ran our RPOs very well on Saturday. Do you somehow think the RPO is a read option?

The rant somehow thinks a RPO is a Run pass Read option instead of a RUN PASS OPTION which it clearly is. No need to argue lol.

freaking idiots!

You can see in this GIF below that the WRs never intented to run a pass route, this was a true READ OPTION the whole way.

Not the same as a RPO

Have not seen Max Play. T.J. looks like he has the "It" for such a young player. He can see the field and is literally throwing down all the time because of his height

Why run a lot of RPO plays when you have a Quarterback who can drop back, read a coverage, and drop dimes like Burrow? We didn’t. Didn’t need to and we were more than effective using it sparingly.

We used our practice and method to allow success for an 18 year old Quarterback. Very good of Ensminger and it makes me feel GREAT to know we have this capability. We are an offensive juggernaut in CFB.
So I guess the question is why haven't we run much, much more RPO with Brennan?

He's put up good raw numbers and certainly has been above avg overall, but there's no question Brennan's had some struggles with being indecisive if his 1st read isn't there. We've seen him take more sacks than we'd like from just not being too sure where to go with the ball.

Ik what a RPO is I was mocking the people who think the read option and rpo is the same if that makes sense

From the SC game.

Here ya go moron.

LINK

We ran RPO runs with our QBs literally says it in the playcalls.

Those vids of Joe from last season are NOT rpo’s the wr’s were not in routes and went straight to blocking.

Agreed. And TJ’s only a true freshman.

He’s going to get better.

Because he’s throwing for 450/game without it.

Yeah those plays are from LAST season with Joe burrow are read options because Joe Burrow is a much better runner than TJ, we also ran QB run RPO plays with Joe as well.

Butttttttt vs SC with TJ they were Qb run RPO plays.

Argue with secstatcat.com if you want.

We ran 6 qb run rpos vs SC. 1 zone read qb run.

LOL. Rant away tards.

He can. A qb can always keep the ball himself. It’s just a not a common wrinkle. We did it with Burrow at least once last year.

The thing is that you don’t have to be a mobile qb to run the RPO. It was in fact designed for non mobile pocket passers.

A qb keeping the ball on an RPO is about as common as a wide receiver throwing the ball. Sure they are legally allowed to do it but it ain’t that common.

LOL!!!!!!!!! Youre almost right, except its become fairly common.

Lamar Jackson is an expert at it, he ran it perfectly last season, won MVP, and won me one of my fantasy leagues last year.

LOL. Rant away. We ran RPO’s 22% last season.

We ran it 28% of last game with TJ.

Hey, Joe Burrow ran an qb run RPO on 3rd and goal in the natty.

Drive 6 play 24. For a TD.

LOL.

LINK

He ran another Qb run RPO on drive 8, play 40. Busted it for 29 yards.

Im not going to keep looking for more from that game enough said.

I lied. I did count. Joe ran it from RPO 4 times in the natty. So TJ was used similarly with the same play.

Run, Pass - Option

He can either hand it off, keep it and run or pull it back and throw. If the QB is no threat to run, ends can crash down and eliminate the hand off threat, that leaves a slant/bubble route option if the QB pulls it back and decides to pass.

Someone gets it!
