We would only be so lucky to get a coach like Pearl. The guy is perfect for a situation like ours. Can recruit and also get fans to buy in as well. Unfortunately he stil has 2-3 years left on his show cause. No go.

Champaign-Urbana sucks like nobody's business. There's no reason not to at least make a phone call to Smart, or Brad Stevens or Chris Mack.

I'd love Alleva to call Stevens and tell him to make his own offer for what it would take to get him. If he still says no, we tried at least

Hiring Pearl is an act of desperation. He is a CHEATER. He will always be a cheater. He is slimy and would do more harm than good.

I'd think Stevens, Smart, etc. are probably waiting for a much more high profile job to open up. Neither of them is likely to turn in their chips for LSU. Let's be realistic here...as sad as it is, with our program's history, why would they come here?

Wouldn't hurt, but I can't see any of these guys leaving. Stevens seems very content at Butler. Mack is at his alma mater, and I think everyone would agree that Xavier has become a top 15 - 20 program. Smart is from Chicago, and Richmond isn't exactly warm. Nevertheless, I think he'd be the most realistic of the three

You don't know that they would all say no. And if they do keep moving down the list. If all 8 or whatever of those guys tell us no it says a lot about the state of the LSU program.

How much is Buzz Williams making now? Maybe he'd like to get closer to his hometown He might have few ties in New Orleans from his short stay.
