Yikes! Not a bar necessarily but the only place in deridder that would be decent to have a drink at is Cecil’s.

Concur on Cecil’s. There is also Presley’s (BBQ). I would avoid Leesville.
ETA: Both are in DeRidder, about 10 minutes south of Rosepine via 171.

No bars but a strong, deep love of LSU Football though. Best advice is to get a six-pack in DeRidder and drink it in your room. Ol' baws love to dish out tickets....If you do go to jail say hi to my step-son please. He hasn't been feeling well because of malnutrition he says.

Well, I lived there for for years so I know there is no hotel. So you're either staying in Derider or Leesville. Leesville has bigger hotels and it's not all that bad. DO NOT SPEED on 171. Go the 35 MPH posted.

Steamboats in DeRidder would be my stop. Staight shot south about 5 miles on the right on US 171. Nice little bar and outside patio

The MOTEL probably won't have a bar, but it likely will have a whore working the front desk. Bring your own whiskey and then stroke that whore.
