A little while ago I talked to someone who works at the basketball practice facility. She told me that the reason why the bullet traveled the way it did because Wayde was knocked down before he got shot. Makes sense because of his height. Bullet could not have traveled from head to neck if he was shot while standing upright

you are both uninformed idiots.
he was charging the guy, sees him pull out a gun, ducks to probably turn and run, and got shot b/c it happened in a split second.

My sympathies go out for the Sims family and his friends who will surely miss him. I pray that someday soon we will not have to bury young men for such foolishness and may justice be served to the murderer.

I work with Wayne and it will be tough to see him when he does make it back. I feel so bad for him and his family. Prayers to the Sims family and friends.

I know nothing will bring back his son but he will have a lot of love and support shown to him and his family.

What does Wayne do for a living?

My thoughts are with his family, friends, his teammates and coaches. RIP WS

Your post was at 2:58. It’s weird that you claim you were at and insinuate you had been at the L Club, because it did not open until 3 yesterday. I am a member and here is the e-mail about the hours of the operation yesterday:

I would rather not disclose that out of respect for him and especially after what has happened to his son. Just know he is respected and makes an honest living.

Edited to add this paragraph: ACTUALLY, my original post was around 2:15 p.m. We were tailgating in the area and I walked over there and talked to the girl who was friends with Wayde and probably a student worker. However in reference to your insistence that the L Club wasn't open yet, there were people under the tent set up at the front door waiting for the party to open up sheltering from the rain. I assume that these people aren't as attached to their email as you seem to be. You obviously weren't there yet, so you wouldn't know.
Because no one ever gets there a few minutes before they open? In case you didn't know, there was a line to get in for about 15 minutes before the doors opened. I talked to a girl that works there that knew Wayde and saw him every day. I talked to her on HER way into work. When I talked to her shouldn't matter. I was just conveying what she said.
What she told me was related to her by a friend who was an eyewitness. Correct or incorrect perception of the shooting was relayed to Crimestoppers by this person. If you ask 10 witnesses what happened, chances are each person will have a slightly different version of what happened.
My comment was relaying what she told me.
Please quit acting like I am lying.
Also, edited to add: This is a discussion on what happened to Wayde. You and others arguing nitpicky points are detracting from this tragedy.
Have a good day.

Wonder if they will setup a fund to honor him. Unsure what it would be but would support in Wayde honor. I feel so bad for that family

It would be a great thing if LSU or TAF could set up the "Wayde Sims Basketball Scholarship" in his honor. I know LSU doesn't like to retire jerseys but I would hope that they don't use #44 for a long time.
I feel bad for Wayne and Fay too. I watched Wayne play in the late 80s and of course follow the current basketball team.
