I bet you were fun to be around in college if you even went. See some of us had the ability to function at a high level with only a few hours of sleep. We lived life to the fullest and excelled in the classroom/athletic endeavors. The POS that shot him is the one to blame.

This is to other some of the posters in this thread: I didn't see it reported that this was a drunken brawl, so don't make assumptions. You don't know what 20 year old Sims was doing.
After watching the video, it looked like Wayde was assisting someone dressed in camo? (a friend maybe?) that was already down on the ground. You see one of the thugs go after Camo dude again. Maybe he and Wayde were together and maybe Wayde was diverting the mugging from that person to himself to give Camo a chance to get away.
Be respectful of the Sims family and his LSU family and don't fabricate theories of what could have happened.
Think of it as someone creating havoc about your only child.
We all need to pray that senseless violence against good people like Wayde Sims and Shelby Holmes is brought under control because in 2018, the inmates are running the asylum and it's not getting any better.

Wayde Sims jerseys can be bought from dhgate for around 20$ just type in his name and they come up. Just putting this info out there for anyone wanting one. I'm gonna order one to wear for game days for the rest of the year.

So does anyone know what he was doing there in the 1st place? Who he was there with? Where there any other LSU players with him?

I didn't sleep much last night and went out at 6 a.m. only to hear this horrible news. I am as distressed and heartbroken for the Sims family as I was for Mr. Wally, Miss Terry, Nick and Hailey.
As a recent former resident of BR within walking distance of the PMAC, Tiger Stadium and the Box, this hurts a lot.
AS FAR AS my use of the term mugging, I saw Camo dude laying on the ground and Thug dudes going after him. When Wayde brings the fight near Camo dude, they lay off of him and concentrate on Wayde. In simple terms, Thugs would gang up on Camo or Wayde but usually not at the same time.
As far as why was Wayde Sims at Southern, it's my understanding that it is Homecoming Week there. Maybe since he's a local, he has friends or girls that are friends that attend school there.

It didn't occur IN Subway. Maybe the person to whom you are responding should have said "AFTER" an SU event.
