I know it is a result of our success. . .

. . .but it still feels wrong.

Maybe we'll suck again soon and you'll get your wish.

There's an old saying about the price of success but I guess folks like you will still bitch.

There needs to be a clause that allows us to have ONE SEC home game at night

I don't think that's too much to ask

Let's just be just as loud and raucous during the day as the night! We are on National TV for 3 weeks in row! Be happy

What don't you understand about the fact that LSU has basically zero leverage in this contract?

This is the price of success only for this current cbs contract, which we can all agree sucks. I'm sure if it was legitimately brought up by our admins, something could possibly be done about it. We have been plenty successful for the past 10 years, and it never seemed like a problem.

It's because our SEC schedule was strange this year. We'll have several night games next year.

I noted that CBS started their broadcast with Verne saying, "Welcome to Saturday in Death Valley!"

If you're on CBS then you're playing well. But damn I sure miss those 6:30 starts on ESPN.

Strange how? No cupcakes (other than Kentucky, which was relegated to brunch) at home?

....Well, I guess we can go back to losing like we did in the Hallman days when nobody wanted to watch us on TV and all our games were at night.

It's the yen yang of the universe.

For every good there is a bad. For every bad there is a good.

I'd much rather watch a national championship contending with day games than watching a putrid team play at night.

yes, because there are no CBS primetime games, no ESPN night games, and no ESPN 2 night games anymore.

Only four games.

And only two that really are eligible to be at night. LSU had to play an 11:20 game this year by terms of the contract - there goes Kentucky.

Arkansas is 1:30 on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

So the only two options for night games were Florida and Auburn. Those games feature the highest ranked SEC match-up in those weeks.

If you are good you make you own rules. LSU needs to do so
