Youre probably right, they will run about 3 backs IMO. BTW Steven and Murphy are very good friends.

The one thing Ive noticed about LSU fans is that its always about the next big thing! Steven did a good job last year working within one of the worst offenses in the country. Lets face it Scott and Williams struggled too. Both Scott and Ridley did well against much weaker opponents. THE LINE WAS TERRIBLE, and Jefferson had little clue on how to run the read option.

Everyone wants to give up on Ridley and Murphy already and switch to guys that have never taken a college snap. Ford looked good in the spring game but no better than Steven. Those little bounce-outs Ford ran in the spring game arent going to work against tough teams IMO. I went to the game and if anything I thought the D was in question that day.

How can people keep bringing up a back who has been seen very little on the field and is injury prone. Richard Murphy may or may not be healthy enough to see significant action this year. When he was healthy, he was at the bottom of the depth chart. I wish him the best but he probably won't pass up Ford or Ridley on the depth chart. Spencer Ware is going to be a special back but it will be later in the season before he pushes for the starting job. With the injuries the Tigers had last year, they will need all these backs to contribute. Blue and Gore could be the X- factor.

People bring him up because he's going to be a big factor this year. Why would we not bring him up?

I think it will be very difficult to keep Ford off the field. Admittedly, I only have the spring game to go off of, but he showed traits of an elite runner. If Keiland Williams had his vision he would have been an All-American. Ford will eventually become our lead back, and then the stable gets full with Ware, Gore, Blue, Hilliard, Hill, and Magee.

Bomber77 u r one the only ones that seems like he knows football. U cant count on someone has not played in a football game. Murphy and ridley are the most experienced backs and they will majority of the plays. Also Ur not injury prone if u only get hurt one time ppl. And yes i Know about high school cuz i played with murphy, and he came back the next yr and rushed for 2000 and 26 tds. LSU would not have recruited him if they thought he was injury prone. thats the way Colleges are.

IMO Ford is the best back on the team and I think the coaches know that.

Ford may not have played a game yet but that does not mean he can't play. He showed the skill set needed in the spring game to be able to see the field this year and he will. Ridley will get touches and so will Murphey but from everything I have seen from Murphey I think Ford will get more touches overall. Maybe not right out of the gate but by season's end I look for Ridley/Ford to be our one two punch with Murphey being a 3rd down back option and change of pace guy outside of the few play package he will have. Ford and Ridley will carry the bulk.
