No one's trying to "burn" RJF. The kid talked like a player before a big game, and some jackholes chose to look at that pregame chatter in the worst possible light.
It's just stupid to claim the reporter made it all up. Why would he fabricate a quote? What did he have to gain?

I was taking a swing at it like all of you who wanted to chase RJF off the team. I just went the complete other way. Apparently the guy embellished and took it out of context.
I don't need credibility with you sir. I am standing up for our players.
I pull for our Tigers, not against them and certainly not for some dill weed gator reporter.

No one was chasing RJF off the team. That's an idiotic comment. A lot didn't give a crap that he said it and some of us merely disliked the nature of the comments. That was it.

I hear you statestreet. And I don't doubt that he printed it in a different light than the way it was actually spoken. But the fact is that RJF uttered the words and he had every right to print it.
You know what my beef is. You know what you said. And you had me going with it. And it wasn't a borderline lie. It was an outright lie. Just sayin.

Getting on BR radio is no great shakes for someone who is already a sports reporter in a much bigger market. This is all mountains out of molehills, folks. Ricky himself said that it was a misunderstanding. Fowler never claimed that RJF was going to try to HURT Tebow, and I would guess that most people who have ever heard a player get pumped up and talk about a big game understood the intent.

Well, I just wish he would have come out earlier and stated that he took RJF out of context. Then ESPN runs the story with only the negative statements. He needs a major correction. It has pissed me off all day that some guy along with ESPN could create so much negative press for LSU. I hate that. That's why I think we needed to get this reporter, RJF, and/or Miles to talk about it. Instead ESPN asks the OC of Florida.. FFFFFFFFFFF
