What about when the "police officer" is in civilian clothes and does not adequately identify himself as a police officer? There is absolutely no justification for plain clothes officers walking around profiling people like apparently happened in this situation. An undercover cop does nothing to help crowd control. The public would be far better served by those same cops walking around in uniforms in the SAME area. That would actually deter crime, not just give them an opportunity to increase their arrest numbers.

I don't know RJ , but his friend has a record of being a good citizen- type (Student of the year, Nat'l Honor Society).
On the other hand, I have learned to give NO credibility to the accounts of N.O. area police at Mardi Gras, relating to arrests of young people.
None. Zero. They've earned that lack of credibilty with a lot of work over a long time.
I will watch this play out, but nothing will surprise me.
