Not in plain clothes. Angles are everything when observing a situation. It could have just looked like a guy causing his friend some trouble. If the person the plain clothes officer was handling was the school bully or the well known bad guy in the neighborhood, they probably wouldn't have given it a second thought and almost certainly wouldn't have gotten involved. The problem was the fact that it was a friend who was apparently academically accomplished at their school.

I'm thinking if these kids did in fact punch cops in New Orleans, they would have ended up bloody messes and it wouldn't have taken over a month for it to hit the newspapers. The whole story has not been told yet.

According to the TV report, they began to repeatedly punch the officer in the kidney area? Am I supposed to believe that? What good would that do with a bullet proof vest on? I guess they had to say something since there were likely no visible scars. Then they blocked the police officer instead of running away from the scene? Just like the new McDonald's commercial, "Fishay, Fishaaay!!"
