Because Jennings mania cannot be stopped.

I think we should give him the nickname Jenningsiah.

Rettig has the talent, but Jennings has a work ethic from day one that has seperated him, plus great feet/speed.

I hear him mentioned but he's not developing as quickly as Jennings. Sometimes that happens. Love the competition at QB though...that's a good thing, right?

Rettig will be fine. Tons of talent. He just needs a redshirt year. Jennings has the feet, accuracy, and intelligence to adapt quicker to the college game.

I am so pumped we can stagger solid QB recruits now.

Miles mentioned that he is have an adjustment period to a more under enter pro style offense from a more shotgun spread style offense in high school. He still has an arm he will develope.

Jennings style of play just allows him to adapt to LSU's offense easier and quicker. Retig should be fine but his HS style of play takes a little longer to translate to LSU's style. Give him a few years and he could be great. Red shirt this year and learn and LSU should have 2 good qb's for the next 4-5 years. He is no different than most young freshman qb's that come in to a new system.

Rettig just needs a little time to adjust and Jennings is ahead of him right now so people are more excited about him. Rettig will be fine and a contributor to the team when his time comes

And he has a great work ethic too. Ive read nothing about how e doesnt. His offense threw on every down in hs. Jennings ran one more like ours.

Dont just post bullshite.

Jennings is on the verge of taking Rivers' backup job and Rettig is pretty much guaranteed to red-shirt. That's why.

Rettig has to adjust to our style of play and it isn't wide open 5 reciever sets all game long. Jennings played in an offense that allows him to adapt immediately to what we do and couple that with his apparent accuracy, pocket presence, and running ability, he is almost a percfect Miles type QB.

IMO Rettig will be waaay less of a project than Rivers.
