Exactly. He hasn't really set the world on fire. It was Bama's defense and run game, with an occasional run by Hurts.

Fully agree. Hurts has contributed far more with his running ability. His father reportedly threatened a transfer if Hurts isn't the starter. I think Saban might be the wrong coach to give an ultimatum to.

the only thing he's ever done against us that's noteworthy was the result of a triple hold.

Not true. He is not a traditional dropback QB, but he still has managed to be in the top 20 for passing efficiency the last 2 years. His throwing is certainly good enough for someone who can hurt you badly with his feet. total package: Kid is a winner. To suggest he is not a good QB is ridiculous. The only reason he might not start at Bama is because he has a ridiculously talented QB on the same team. Hurts is a winner, and will be if he starts at Bama or any other school.

Jalen Hurts is like Tim Tebow. A below average quarterback and above average running skills. Both also have the uncanny ability to throw a wounded duck across their body into triple coverage on 4th and 15 only to complete the fricking thing and win the game.

Hurts career passing stats:

394-637
61.9%
4861 yards
7.6 ypa
40 TD
10 INT
143.5 rating

Rushing stats:

345 carries
1809 yards
5.2 avg
21 TD

I'll take that ALL DAY LONG.

Jalen Hurts is garbage

Hurts beat LSU twice. He was the difference maker.

He's very smart and disciplined, and has all the tools necessary to win in College football.

Hurts is more of a running back than a quarterback. He would be horrible at LSU. He made the Alabama offense very one-dimensional the last two seasons until he finally got pulled against UGA.

Even if this were possible, i wouldn’t want him. We need a QB who can move the ball through the air. Hurts is one dimensional

Check Hurts stats and get back with me on that. On second thought here they are:

394 of 637 passing for 4,861 yards
61.9 completion percentage
40 TDs 10 Ints.
Rush 345 for 1809 5.2 avg
21 TDs
Record as Starter:25-2
2016 SEC Offensive Player of the Year
The reason Bama beat LSU the last two years. He was the difference.

So somehow that is not good enough QB play for LSU? Are you serious? And that is the problem I have with the DTs are running backs and can't pass crowd. I believe they wouldn't even want Desaun Watson. Hurts over the last few years would have had LSU competing for championships. But somehow he is not good enough for LSU? That is laughable.

Between them [Hurts and Tebow]: 3 SEC championships, 1 national championship, 2 playoff appearances, 1 Heisman Trophy.

Tebow's career college stats:

661-985
67.1%
9,286 yards
88 TDs
16 INT
170.8 rating

692 rushing attempts
2,947 yards
57 TD

Yea, who needs that.

No, Alabama has kicked our arse. Hurts would fricking suck here.

One thing you’re overlooking, shithead.

We have a clown con-man as head coach who hired a geriatric buddy-buddy yes-man as OC. Neither are wanted by any Power-5 school.

If you have a chance to grab a player who’s been coached by Nick Saban for two years, you grab him, no questions asked.

That being said, Saban would never release him to come here, but my point stands.

Deshaun Watson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jalen Hurts

Hurts will likely never play a down in the NFL as a quarterback.
