For the Duke game I was at Steinbrenner Field for Yankees vs Red Sox Spring Training game. My Dad had a little handheld antenna TV device that could pick up local stations. He brought that into the stadium and our family was watching it during the baseball game. Loud cheers from the entire family at times when absolutely nothing was happening in the baseball game. We were getting some confused looks from surrounding crowd.
For the Texas game we stopped to stay the night in Tallahassee on the way back home to make sure we were settled into the hotel in time to not miss a second of the game.
I was 13 at the time and those 2 nights are 2 of the most vivid memories I have of all our of our family vacations. We were in Clearwater for the Mitchell buzzer beater too. Was a great vacation and such a fun ride with that team.

For the Texas game, we were at Woodrows in Houston. It was packed solid an hour before tip. It was a beautiful day. Ended up walking out of the parking lot tent around midnite.

Hell, I remember watching the 81 & 86 final 4 runs, and the 87 elite 8 run also. Even 79 & 80 we had high seeds and made a 16 and 8 those years. It's a shame we can't consistently win big in men's basketball. We're LSU dammit!!!

I was working a contract job in Louisville and watched all of that tournament run from the sports bar & restaurant at the minor league ballpark there.

I was so fortunate to have attended both games in the Georgia Dome at the "Atlanta Regional." The arrogance of the Duke fans was astounding. Great wins for LSU.
