At least partly to blame for Bama game.

I know right? How dare he give up 13 points to Alabama in regulation?

Well, he had a big hand in the ND,

That's irrelevant, he was already gone. He quit on the team, so the players quit on him.

Auburn, and MSU losses

Early in the season. The way that young defense matured as the season went on was nothing short of a spectacular coaching job. Best defense in the SEC.

How dare his defense let Bama march right down the field in under a minute with no turnouts. Or is that not part of what he was paid to prevent?

so I guess we shouldn't hold that one against Les either. Something tells me you'll disagree through.

Best my arse. I'd take Arkansas's defense over ours all day. Yes, you read that right.

Couldn't stop inside outside zone nor the passing game against Auburn

Moo State gashed us and had 2 hundred yard rushers almost a 2 hunred yard rusher

Bama scored with 50 seconds left. No excuse for that at all.

No circumstances should ND go two TE and fricking run against us all day. No cirumstances at all.

Arkansas gashed us all game and controlled the clock. That 17-0 was a blow out.

Auburn was a team shite show. As was Arkansas

Take off your goggles boy

There were MULTIPLE threads titled "am I the only one happy to see Chavis go" So I dont need to find you shite go look yourself you lazy bum.
ok so your premise is a lie and no one actually said "losing Chavis was not a big deal". because as Ive already told you, saying we're happy to see him go is not the same thing. at all. it means we have the chance to get better, as long as we make the right hire, and that is an extremely big deal.

My Roomate is an Aggie fan and I told him we probably won't miss him. He's been good for us over the years but this could end up being a good move by both schools. He's better than what they had and we can do better than him.

The last time our DC left for another job we were not "just fine" the next year

Why is this a different scenario? And last time that happened we promoted from within, to disastrous results. Which from the sound of things, is probably what will happen this time.

Why is this time different? What do you know that I don't?

Anyone who thinks we won't miss Miles is lying to themselves either. Doesn't mean one day we won't do better than him.

And I love Miles. 2014 is the exception not the rule and I can understand why seasons happen like this to great programs. Chavis has been on a downward spiral since 2011. Our OC is two years in and has another year to prove he's the real deal. If not I expect major changes to every coaching position by the end of 2016.

It shouldn't be (and yet still may not be) if the search is handled competently and professionally.

There are talented coaches out there but you have to identify them and sell them on the program.

Stats mean diddly shite. We could not set the edge all year and got out muscled when we played away. I don't think LSU could survive another year with his system. And I said it all year, our secondary was over rated. But number 1 pass effeciency!!

Thanks Chief for all he's done but I don't think he can do much more.

3rd if you take out the OOC games - and 6th in yards per play - but even your "#1" doesnt mean we got better, it just means other teams got worse.

we gave up 317 yards per game (347 vs the SEC), and 317 might be first in the SEC this year but it would have been 3rd last year, 5th the year before, and 6th the year before that.

would you still be talking shite if we were 6th? because it would be the exact same defense.

rankings dont mean shite, the actual stat matters. 317 is not very good, 347 is awful.

I think that statement has been posted before. I also remember one poster saying "I'm 1000% sure Chavis isn't leaving."

depends on who les hires. if it's someone like steele, we will miss him tremendously. if les makes the right hire, LSU will be fine.

If you think Chavis is the culprit for that record,

Yeah I guess the offense gave up 38 points at the half to Auburn. What season did you watch?
