I am sure he was confident in stopping our offense...and they did

This year?

This year, LSU elects to run up and down the field like we do every game and kick that ugly Elephant in the fat rear end!!!!!!!!!!!

No one is stopping Joe and this offense.

That’s a lot of talk after watching our offense fail to score on several trips in the red zone and score half of their average.

This offense is not unstoppable. No offense is. There are some masterful defensive minds that can scout every tendency while in certain formations and know how to stop it. We saw that this weekend. The defense won that game, not the offense.

What WILL WIN THIS GAME is whether our DEFENSE can stop Alabama. It all revolves around if our secondary can stop the crossing routes. You can bet they have noticed our defensive backs getting ROSTED by Texas.

If our defense can make Alabama punt 6-8 times, we win. If not, we lose again.
Simple.

I love Joe and this offense and have enjoyed the hell out of this season. I pray this is our year. But offense won’t win this game. Defense will.

true!!! But we didn't climb the polls being a typical LSU team

and Bama isn't unstoppable either....so at least be consistent with your overall point...

Clemson curb stomped that great Bama D last year by throwing the football all over the yard....

that's what's coming....

the only teams that can beat Bama must be very good on offense, they have to pass excellently....and that's what we do really good

We are not stopping their offense. We need to out score them.

We've tried to win with defense for the past 8 games and it has failed. They'll get their stops and we'll get ours but, make no mistake, this game's fate will rest with the offense and particularly not wasting scoring opportunities.

You got a sneak preview of this game when you watched LSU vs Florida. It will be a game like that. Whoever hiccups first and falls by two scores will be in a bind, to say the least.

Answering score to score will be crucial. And Bama's defense this year is the worst they've had in quite some time. LSU will score on them.

bullshite. Clemson won because their defensive line dominated and limited Alabama's offense, which kept them off the field. We will not win unless its a low scoring 17-13 type game.

What the frick. This is one of the dumbest things I've seen on this site in a long time.

Have you watched a single football game this year?

I’m not denying we failed to execute sometimes on Saturday.
But that sloppy field and Auburn having quite a few thing go their way is in my opinion the only reason we had the same avg yards but half the points.
And last year we held Bama to 29 points. And I like the way this years defense matches up with Bama even more.
I think we hold them to a similar number while scoring more than them.
LSU wins not with defense or offense alone, but with all three offense defense AND special teams.
