re: Remember all the folks on this board saying Kelly wouldn’t be fired for 1-2 more years?

Yes , but if Jeff hadn't stepped up, it would be 1,2 or 3 more years. We all know that. I'm glad Jeff corrected Scott's mistake. Scott wasn't going to do it. Scott can get us into a mess, but he doesn't have what it takes to get us out of one - that would be Jeff. All you guys bashing Jeff - do you want 2 or 3 more years of the BK $hit $how.. I don't think so. Cut it out. We are better off today than we were last week. Our inner brain holds the truth. Let it speak. You sound like fools wanting this slaughter and humuiliation to continue.

Saban talked about our “Catastrophe Syndrome” when he was here. Below is an AI explanation:
quote:
”Catastrophe syndrome" is not a recognized medical or psychological diagnostic term, but rather refers to catastrophizing, a common cognitive distortion in which a person consistently anticipates the worst possible outcome of an event or situation, regardless of the actual probability.
Catastrophizing is an automatic negative thought pattern that can significantly impact a person's mental and physical well-being.

I definitely thought we would be stuck with Kelly for at least another year.

Congratulations! You were right and I was wrong.

Now it seems your narrative has shifted to we won’t be able to hire Kiffin or some other fantastic coach.
No it hasn't. I just want the governor to shut up about it because it's none of his business and he might be hurting the effort to find a good coach.

What’s really going on with your psyche?
Brother, we don't have enough time to dissect my psyche.

I was someone who said they would not fire Kelly. Because history showed that to be true and the AD was not going to. I was not expecting Politics to come into play. Now I am glad that he was let go and to cut our losses when it was made evident that he was not the answer. However, I have no idea what you are talking about in regard to the narrative shifting to not being able to hire a good coach. This is BS.
The biggest cause for concern is the Governmental influence. Current and previous Coaches have spoken on this and it is a red flag whether you want to admit it or not. I fully expect them to go after big fish but the big fish isn't always the answer. Idk if Kiffin takes the job, what I do know is in most coaching searches you never land on the first choice. Jay was not the first Choice, Saban was not the first Choice, even O was not the first Choice. So idk who we get but there are plenty of good Coaches out there for them to get but I don't think Kiffin or Lanning happen just based on timing and their situations.
