Dude, there ARE fans that stay and cheer. Those are the real fans. The ones that show up no matter rain or shine, or if it's 12-0 season or 7-5 one. I've been around LSU football since I was a kid. You're not the first student to think they're the only "real" fans.

I stood the entire game, stayed until AFTER the band cheered "LSU Tigers, fight fight fight" and were marching out.

I don't give a crap what they say or how they act during the game, but group chanting with incredibly lame cursing that leads to songs getting killed managed to not happen for years. I think most of the student section has never sat anywhere else in the stadium. Yeah, the student section is like a college bar and that's fine, but the rest of the stadium isn't.

I would rather stop cursing than have Tiger Rag, Owee-o, and Neck taken away. I understand that parents are offended and traditionalists like myself dont want to see these get taken away.
That being said i get absolutely irate when people suggest taking away student tickets to give to regular fans.

Dude, after you graduate and go on to bigger an better things you're gonna have kids of your own. And one day you're going to want to take them TS for the games. And don't give me the "I'm not gonna care what my kids hear" argument because you will. We're just saying that over the years we've seen the language get worse and worse and at some point it should be toned down a bit. That's all.

This is the only reasonable response and what I've long advocated. Start randomly throwing students out. At some point you'll get the message across.

yall are acting like this is a new phenomenon thats only happening with this generation of LSU students. This happens on every college campus and has been happening there for decades. Ex. the "frick you...eat shite" chant done by multiple other student sections

I've suggested that to the AD but their question is how to enforce it?
I said, post a marshall or trooper at the four corners of a section, pick a row or 2 or 5 and escort them to the door.

I am not saying that we are the only "real" fans their are plenty of fans who stay and do their part for much longer than I have been alive. I get a little upset that people leave early especially students but I think its atrocious that people would suggest taking away tickets from the students who currently attend the university.

I think you all forget it really got bad when they took away tiger rag for a-hole a basic cable curse. Draconian sanctions against drunk college students always leads to escalation, it was never about being cool. It was always about pissing off the administration.

I would be okay with kicking some of us out but taking away our tickets is just incorrigible.

Then you are going to be a sad sally. I think that is 'atrocious' that people who think like YOU have cost the rest of us and our families the enjoyment of traditional LSU band songs and probably will cost us more.
The only way to make people like you understand the stupidity of what you are doing is for LSU to LIMIT people like you in the student section....hence less tickets.

Then they tried to bring it back, and told us to say "Tigers" instead, and since our fanbase is so goddamned bi-polar, half of us yelled "You Suck" whilst the other half yelled "Tigers", thus becoming "You Suck Tigers".
After that the band stopped playing it. Kinda blows too.
