If JJ starts instead of JL from the beginning then LSU may have had the same record, but a much more experienced and better starting QB for this year. JJ has skills that JL doesn't, period. He can make all the throws JL can, he can get out of trouble, HE LOOKS OFF SAFETIES, and he's played the position longer. JJ will have his bumps this year, but it WILL pay off big in the years to come.

the only skill JJ has over JL is his ability to run. PERIOD.
This looking safties off, checking down, progression blafuking bla crap I hear from some of you is really old... Not to mention I read some douchebag posted and I quote "Obv JL will not improve" WTF?
Im a fan of a qb that can scramble, hell after watching superBowl and Big Ben move around, JL should try to incooperate that into his gameplan... truth be told it wouldnt surpise me to see a MF/RP 07 situation in 09 with JL/JJ.

I have to disagree, but I'm only going off of the little time JJ had to play. My thing is this if your throwing picks at the rate JL is then the other guy doesn't have to be that much better at reading defenses to beat him out and the ability to run is a bonus. Look, LSU was screwed for 08 as soon as RP was kicked off(rightfully so) and IMO Les went with the older Guy because he maybe new the plays better but wasn't the better player. I'm not in favor of rotating QBs, but JL showed the ability to make some incredible come backs last year(even though he was to blame for being down to begin with)so if JJ falls behind maybe putting JL in would work. JMHO, I sure ain't a coach.

I mean it is only what a scholarship qb with a full year in the system with 8 starts under his belt should be doing when playing teams like,,,,,,,Tulane.

LSU could have a Herb Taylor type offense with JJ.

the point is if you actually beleive in JL's 269 pass attempts last season he didnt do those things than this should probably stop right here.

Can and should he improve??? ABSOLUTLEY.
Once again, typical first yr qb mistakes.

no they dont, JL has shown some mental toughness...
JJ has not played a season yet, he has basically played in 2 games and fans want to believe he will set world on fire.
I do not think JJ has the same mental toughness JL has simple as that. I do not think he is second coming of herb Tyler as some have suggested.

If JL was good then ok,but I saw complete game from JJ that was masterfully play by a leader the team seem to play hard for. JJ will be the man.

Dude sucked and other dude didn't.What in the hell did you see that would justify putting JL over JJ. Please, I'll listen to any rational response.

every one of these qb debates you get involved in ends up with some dumb arse fricking repsonse such as the one you just typed.... just wait, tommorrow you'll be playing the race card.

Refreshing to have fans like you... Bring so much to the table.
