The biggest risk to LSU would probably be Florida State. They have recruited Louisiana well over the years.
Miami is probably the greatest OOS threat - other than Alabama. Early 2000s were tough, especially in NO.
Oklahoma needs to stay elite. They help keep Texas and A&M honest in Texas. Of course, we need to keep the fight with A&M in Texas as well.

This makes zero sense to me. SEC teams getting better only produces another team that LSU will have to battle to get players. If Tenn was a big time winner, would we have gotten Stevens, Phillips and Hampton?
On the other hand, if teams show major decline then that basically eliminates that team as a possibility of an elite player wanting to go there and one less school to fight for recruits.

Tennessee would help us a lot with Georgia and Bama. You guys are leaving out the key piece to the puzzle MIAMI. When they were at there best Florida was at least 1-2 losses worse each year.

They would face Bama, UGA, and Florida every year and pull more recruits from UGA, Florida, and Bama more so than us. Also they would take away from little ole Clemson.

USC would be good for LSU as well
Absolutely not. USC currently being down is what led us to getting Elias Ricks, Resejon Davis, and the possibility to land Foreman this year. We have started a Cali pipeline because of USC and UCLA being down.

If I could only pick one, I think I' say Miami.

Miami and Tennessee are for sure my top 2. South Carolina is a far behind 3rd mostly to help beat up the East
