Not so much that i don't have faith in Ridley, and Ford i do
BUt i am pretty sure we burnt his red shirt having him play special teams and that would be lame.

I am sure they never planned on him redshirting so hopefully we see him soon

not gonna happen...we didn't even see MF play...i guess there is a possibility Ridley gets scolded for his fumbles...but Les is too nice to hold his players accountable...

I think Ridley knows he is accountable, and has even said so a few times. But that IF Saban was his coach he would REALLY know he was accountable.

For the record. Saban did a great job keeping Justin Vincent accountable for not becoming shite after his freshmen year. I feel like people don't talk enough about that

Good point about JV...but playing sports, there is a HUGE difference between holding yourself accountable and the coach being ok with that...and then your coach ripping your arse and sitting you out for plays when you F-UP! HUGE DIFFERENCE....that what Saban did!!

If I understand it correctly then the current pecking order for backs is:

Ridley
Murphy
Blue
Ford/Ware

If all goes well on Saturday I imagine we'll get to see all 5 backs...

This has to be a new record. Ford has already been benched for Ware!

stargazers....

Murphy has worked his butt off for 5 years. I think he has earned some carries.

Let the best play.

And Murphy very well may be one of our best options at RB, but the mere fact that he's been around the longest shouldn't play into the decision.

I saw him on special teams (think he was wearing #16 to avoid conflict with Kelvin Sheppard) so I don't think its out of the question for him to get some carries at some point.

Miles said in the Spring that if Ford had a summer like he did a Spring he would get carries.

Ford didn't have a great summer.

Blue came in and impressed from Day 1.

Once you get on campus, all the stars disappear. Blue has impressed and apparently knows the offense better than the other two.

This is not to say the other two won't be studs...

But that IF Saban was his coach he would REALLY know he was accountable.

The days of Little Debbie are long gone and a distant memory, just like the Star Wars thing. You know, "A long time ago in a galaxy far away."

MOST of us would like that kind of coaching intensity, player/coach accountability, program organization/attention to details, at LSU once again. This is LSU in 2010, not 2003 however. Who needs or desires undefeated seasons? 2nd in the West is fine. 9-3 regular season with a bowl loss is fine.

Time to move on and stop with all the crying (Residual LSU fan "Left at the Altar" Syndrome) over the Great Ones depature to the Dark Side.

Has Gore played on special teams at all? I was hoping to see him do some returning this year, maybe as the #2 to PP.

I agree, as do Hilliard, James, Williams, Faulk, Mealey,Toefield, and Vincent. FWIW all guys who were given tons of carries and succeeded as freshmen.

Ford is one of the best backs to come out of Louisiana why he's not playing is perplexing.
