Hanagriff nailed it in the post game. We’re 2-3 classes from playing w them. O needs to kill it this year, and no one knows it better than him.
All the threads about coaching, FG attempts, OC’s etc are shite. How can someone watch that game last night and not see the way we got killed on the line of scrimmage. If you’re concerned about anything but that and recruiting our way into that not happening, you don’t have a clue.

No one...Not even Saban could coach ours and beat his. And, Bama will be better next year. Time to quit all the witch hunts and circle the f’ing wagons in this State.

i couldn't agree more. Gotta recruit HEAVILY in the trenches for the next few years. You can have an average QB and decent WRs and still score when you have mules in the trenches. LSU has proved this themselves in years past.

Ok so since 2012 LSU has had worse talent than Aggie, Ole Miss, Auburn, and every other team Bama has played this year. Got it.

How many years do we need to give O? 4, 5, 6?

Good luck getting top flight recruits with Ensminger as the O coordinator.

According to this board, if we change recruiters and offensive coordinators every season we lose to Bama, we will get better recruits and a better scheme and eventually win.

Purdue didn't have the talent that Ohio State had, but they had a scheme with creativity. The talent isn't so low, that zero points is acceptable. That is a stupid thought process. No creativity, slow developing pass plays, only passing on obvious passing downs, quarterback holding the ball too long, and play action when the run game is not successful are the reasons that the offense is the worst in the conference. This offense couldn't score touchdowns against La Tech, UF, MSU, UGA, and parts of the Southeastern game. Were all of those teams more talented too?

Guess how many dl he has committed and the top one we are after and where he's leaning.
He's losing these battles and doesn't have any locked up if these Jrs leave this year for the draft we are screwed

There's a reason offensive and defensive linemen are picked highest in the draft every year. It's common sense.

Cam Cameron was an awful coordinator but Mett, Odell and Jarvis made him look like a wizard and even that team could score more than 2 TDs vs Bama.

According to you, LSU should just stick to what’s been working so wonderfully for a decade now. All we need is NFL talent at every position and we might score a point.

You’re actually making the opposite argument. Even in 2013, with awesome elite offensive talent, LSU scored a whopping two TDs against Bama due to an awful OC.

Arkansas scored two TDs against Bama this year!

The best team we've seen at LSU in the last 2 decades was massive in the trenches on both sides and had average QB play. The only reason we blew teams out was because we scored in the red zone. Also, the reason we hung with Bama is because we matched their talent all over the field. It ain't like that anymore.

As for the 1/9/12, that's what happens when you use the exact same game plan in a rematch game as you did the first time.

As soon as those players migrated out, our offense went to shite and what did we do? We fired our coordinator and got Cam Cameron.

His first year at LSU, the offense was terrible but in 2013 it was really good because it was the same players that had another year to develop.

Once they left, we had a big drop off in personnel and once again, our offense stank.

I agree the offense was pretty good in 2013, due to great talent. Would be nice to have such talent again, and I agree that’s what LSU must strive for. But even with that talent, 2013 LSU only managed 17 pts against one of the weaker Bama teams this decade. Meanwhile, other teams without such talent have had some level of scoring success.

Thats because the scheme that LSU runs relies on talent at the line positions that we just dont have. You scheme around what players you have. Not based on what you want to run.

Did you know that the offense has been bad all year? Not just against Bama. They are WAY down in the rankings. Is that something you're OK with?

I certainly won’t argue the OL needs an upgrade. I think talent alone won’t do the job. Also takes creativity.

I'm making the argument that personnel is a bigger issue sometimes. J.C. Copeland fumbled the ball at the goal line, not Cam Cameron. (Not defending Cam Cameron, I hated his scheme regardless of how efficient it looked in 2011. That's what happens with a cannon arm and 2 elite WRs.

Arkansas is not Bamas rival and I'm pretty sure Saban wasn't a former coach there. And everyone in North America knows Bama gets up for the LSU game.

Hell, the offense has been chronically bad for most of the past decade, and not just against Bama. It’s frustrating.
