It's all the next round of campaigning to not be fired. He thinks by making excuses & placing the blame elsewhere, it gets the heat off of him. No one is buying his crap this time.

Buddy, did you struggle on the reading comprehension tests in grade school?
He was asked what is the most unfair criticism he has heard.
As part of his answer he responded by saying that the unfair criticism includes people saying that Alleva should be fired.

It's like he's the anti coach-speak. We always want to hear what's really on their minds and he flat out says it, to his detriment.

Ok. That is actually much different than what is in the OP. What is in the OP is just way too incredibly stupid for even O to say. An all out attack on Alleva like that is hard to wrap the head around.

That’s literally why Ponamsky is there. Someone from the media that would guide O through these types of situations that require finesse.

Uh, I don't know how you interpret this statement with no context:

But correct grammar and reading comprehension would determine that he's saying "I shouldn't be fired, Alleva should."
That's how it's worded.

If he included an "and" there that you left out, then it completely changes the meaning of that sentence. If he didn't use an "and" then tone completely changed the meaning of the sentence. Good English skills would let you know that sentence is ambiguous.
