1. Just won a National Title and are on top of the world

2. Ton of talent returning and a great recruiting class

3. Our precious DC made 2.5 million

4. Woodward will open the checkbook

5. Plenty of great names and coordinators out there making a lot less for a worse program

Doesn’t have to be. That’s the point... most DCs aren’t making a million

if we do this we better find another safety coach...I was told Bill Busch would get the job or at least he is very high on the list ...of course Aranda would offer the same position but if you compare apples to apples on money and program LSU should come out of that meeting victorious....

Shoop isn't DC at Michigan, so that's where I think we should go.

Who knows, hiring from within might work out. It certainly did with Ensminger.

I don't like the "rock star" hires. Our offense was the best in history, and it was run by a re-tread and a novice.

Go get a young kid who is having success somewhere like Youngstown State. Hire for personality - a guy who is going to be a lot of fun to have around and to whom the kids will relate.

But did it? The offense was historic this year with the combo of E and Brady. The offense with only E has been bad. E without Brady scored 0 combined points in 2 games against Bama (both in Tiger Stadium). E with Brady scored 45 at Bama.

Maybe this upcoming season E will keep some of the concepts and schemes but that remains to be seen. I find it hard to say E has been a great promotion by himself so far. The team of E and Brady was amazing but the simple fact of promoting E from within has not been a slam dunk so far but I am hoping this upcoming season changes that opinion.

This is faulty logic. As several have already said, E was not so successful by himself. I dont think Brady was some shot in the dark. We may gave gotten lucky with him, but that doesnt mean we should try to just get lucky again.

Im not against a young up and comer, but we should be able to attract someone whk has already shown great success.
