6 pages and nothing to actually explain why the team is going to win 10 games.

I just don't think going into the season as fans we should expect 10 wins as a "lock."
You are the only one who said this.
You started a thread stating that you were confused about why the floor for LSU 2018 was 10-2, without providing any context or proof that such a claim was ever made.
Then come back several pages later to repeat your OP, despite the fact that, once again, no one has claimed this.
Now, if you’re done being obtuse , here’s the reasons why fans should not tolerate excuses for less than 10 wins:
Ed Orgeron went out and handpicked Canada’s successor, retained Aranda after Jumbo tried to steal him, brought in Burrow after being disappointed with the QBs spring play, hired Jerry Sullivan to work with the passing game, hired Billy Busch to work with the safeties, and hired some interns to do grunt work like figure out how many times Miami threw on 3rd down versus running the ball.
These are all things just off the top of my head that have been put forth since January of 2018 as reasons to be excited about LSU being better than last year. If LSU won 9 games last year, and is supposed to be better this year , they should win 10 games, no?

When posting the OP I began to mention the countless threads saying anything less than 10 wins would be a failure. I decided to omit the obvious in an effort not to be redundant. I'm guessing you missed the bazillion threads stating this, my mistake. I actually thought I was speaking to a more astute audience.

This is actually the type of response I was looking for out of the gate & yes I'm on board. It's easy to say LSU should win 10 games kind of like it's easy for me to say TDcline is a candy arse. Just because it's being said doesn't make it so. Ed Orgeron is making good/great moves like I said I'm on board. The 5 second thought process when writing the thread was to ask the rant as to why ten wins was the floor & anything less is unacceptable. My point is not to bash or give a pass to the coaching staff but to ask the question as to why this team should win ten games as the minimum with the previous stated ? marks as I see them on offense. New OC new RPO offense, new O-line coach and no returning SEC starters at QB, RB & WR not to mention who is going to start at Center? This simple observation was completely ignored by the majority who only replied to bang their drum.

Yes these are reasons to be excited and I can't wait till kick off. However when people are making ridiculous claims to a ten win season I just simply would like to hear why they think this way. I'm still wondering why a majority think the opener is a lock. I have no idea what Miami is going to look like at kick off.
What I do know is this I love a strong defense. This defense has depth at the line for rotation we should be good to go there. This defense has playmakers at LB we should be good there, Devin White is a grown arse man. The secondary may not be as deep but Greedy is shutting down his side of the field we should be good there. I'm looking for the defense to keep us in every game and I'm optimistic they will get the ball back to the offense by creating turnovers and getting off the field with timely three and outs. LSU added depth at the O-line as well so here's to keeping the big fellas fresh. Providing LSU can answer the questions at the skilled positions they should be in good shape but the lack of SEC experience certainly warrants concern.

It's Ok to admit we were lucky to win
Why do you always act like your OPINIONS are facts? I’m not just trying to dump on you either, because I actually agree with you about a lot of things on this board and on the rant, but damn dude.... there is a lot that goes into coming from behind, especially when you’re down there scores, and luck was a small part of it... but to act like the only reason LSU won that game was because of ‘luck’, then I think you’re being a little disingenuous..
It’s ok to give the team and the staff a little credit

You would be laughing your arse off at Jimmy Johnson then, who KNOWS that 10 wins a year SHOULD BE the floor for this program EVERY YEAR.

Answer me this. If we are going to accept 7, 8, or 9 wins a season, why are we paying Les Miles and Orgeron for the same job?
Who said, “We are going to accept”?

Miles never lost to Troy or got blown out by 30 by MSU within 3 weeks.
No but we mysteriously lost 3 straight in '15 giving up over 30 a game after starting like 7-0. Just as frustrating IMO.
