Like miles or not, but he had presided over the greatest 11 year period in LSU football history. I simply don't understand the disrespect and downright bitterness expressed on here regularly towards the most successful football coach in LSU history.

Nine losses in two years and one game is not exceptable for LSU football. Pissing all over the team's is not going to make anything better and it's not going to lead to Miles leaving any sooner, but each to our own

Amen.

Come on Rick dodger

Ive always been in favor of replacing miles with a proven upgrade.
Wait, wut? So, you were in favor of firing Miles in his first year?

Try again.

If it's time for him to go now, then that means that there were events prior to now that started you down that train.

You've absolutely tied yourself in pretzels trying to avoid answering this.........but, I'm a glutton.

You wouldn't have fired him year 1. Not even for a supposed "upgrade".

Some series of events led you to be willing to. You've stuck with vague bull shite answers. And, the reason is obvious. But, like I said. I'm a glutton.

Since his hire no program has beaten more ranked teams than lsu.

This notion that lsu is known for losing the big game is bullshite. Yes our last 2 years we havent reached levels we want to but to act like miles hasnt won games against competent coaches is bullshite.

He has wins over meyer, saban( as much as any head coach), stoops, and kelly.

i dont even know why i respind to you. You rarely ever talk actual football.

I was in favor of letting miles go if we were getting jimbo.

Of course i wasnt talking about year 1.

I figured you would know i didnt mean year one.

There is a difference in seeing that a coach has flaws and wanting him fired with no proven commodity to replace him.

You couldnt understand thos the other day so why would you under stand it now.

Only if you have an elementary levl of reading comprehension.

I think Jimbo is a better coach than Miles. I was in favor of firing miles if it meant we were getting Jimbo.
That doesnt mean i wanted him fired and wanted alleva to handle the next hiring.

It also doesnt mean i should shite on him in every thread.

Today i think it would be better long term to find a new head coach for lsj football.
That doesnt mean i think Milss is a shite coach.
That doesnt mean his tenure at lsu is fraudulent.
That doesnt mean i think he his 11 year tenure at lsu wasnt he best tenure in lsu history.

How hard is that to understand.
People like you hate miles so much that you will shite on our last 11 years. Its pathetic. You supposedly love lsu yet you do everything you can to diminish the last 11 years because you dont like the damn coach.

no one is arguing against that

I just have no idea why it is so hard for some on this board to give him credit for his success that he has had

there is a constant need to discredit Miles on this board and I just don't get it

Its pathetic. You have lsu fans shitting on 11 of the best years in lsu history ( FACT) just because they dont like the coach. Who does that shite?

I answered it. I was in favor of firing miles if it meant we were getting jimbo.
After an entire off season with no changes its time for new blood. 11 years at a program is a long time.

That doesnt mean i have to shite all over the last ll years because i want a new head coach . Im a lsu fan. I will not shite on our accomplishments because i want miles gone. I guess youre not a lsu fan.

That's when you became willing to fire him.

No one SUDDENLY becomes willing to fire someone. There are things that happen leading up to that willingness. Things you apparently took note of. Games where those things manifested themselves. It didn't just hit you in some epiphany.

But, you won't say WHEN and what those specific things that led you down the road happened and the reason is VERY obvious.

The reason is, you were noticing issues..........many of the ones critics were noticing............but coming to this board weekly to shite on those critics for noticing.

NOW, you want to run around saying "he needs to go" like it fricking fell out of the sky that you realize this. You do that so that you can continue to shite on people and speak ONLY about Miles entire 11 years.

You saw the problems. You were just more interested in shitting on fans. And, you complain about people shitting on Miles?

Yeah. Mmkay.

I should add, those reasons MUST have predated last year, because no one goes into last year thinking, "Miles is fricking stupendous" and then wants the dude fired for the occurrences from Bama till now.

That shite would be more irrational than you say the anti-Miles folks are.

Finally. No one wants to talk football with you because of this rank dishonesty.

You want a man fired but God help us, you'll NEVER fricking admit to even ONE specific time Miles failed and say specifically how.

Again, your reasons are obvious. It allows you to rebut 100% of the times people cite specific times Miles football approach was fricked up.

You speak in generalities which allows you to avoid ever saying any particular thing is included in the generality.

Do you consider Mac Brown a great coach?

quote:

2005 NCAA Football National Championship (game played in January, 2006)
2005 NCAA Football Coach of the Year
20 consecutive winning seasons
18 consecutive bowl game appearances
162 consecutive weeks ranked in the AP poll from 2000–2010 and 192 consecutive weeks ranked in the coach's poll from 1998–2010.[34]
Big 12 Conference record 21 consecutive conference wins from 2004–2006.
Player awards at Texas under Brown include a Heisman Trophy winner (Ricky Williams), three Maxwell Award winners (Ricky Williams, Vince Young, Colt McCoy), two Davey O'Brien Award Winners (Vince Young, Colt McCoy), two Doak Walker Award winners (Ricky Williams, Cedric Benson), a Butkus Award winner, two Thorpe Award winners and four national player of the year honors. Texas has also had 23 All-Americans, 37 first-team All-Big 12 selections, three Big 12 Offensive Players of the Year, two Big 12 Conference Defensive Players of the Year and seven Big 12 Freshman of the Year honorees.
UT posted back-to-back 11-win seasons, nine consecutive 10-win seasons and ten consecutive 9-win campaigns for the first time in school history. However, Texas played a maximum of only 11 games per season up until 1975 and only 12 games per season up until 1995 (including conference championship and bowl game).
The Longhorns under Brown featured the only 3,000-yard passer, the only 2,000-yard rusher, the only 1,000-yard receivers and the only 1,000-yard passer/rusher in UT history (again, note the longer seasons in recent decades).
Brown is one of only three head coaches in FBS history to coach players who recorded a 2,000-yard rushing season, a 1,000-yard receiving season and a 3,000-yard passing season. Also, Vince Young stands as the first player in NCAA history to rush for 1,000 yards (1,050) and throw for 3,000 yards (3,036) in a single season.
Under Brown's tenure, only five players have left the Texas team for the NFL Draft with any eligibility remaining. The first was Kwame Cavil who went undrafted.[35] Vince Young was drafted third overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. Jamaal Charles and Jermichael Finley both announced they would enter the 2008 NFL Draft and were both drafted in the 3rd round (73rd and 91st overall, respectively).[36][37] Earl Thomas left Texas after the 2009 season and was drafted in the 1st round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Other players, such as Jevan Snead have elected to transfer to other schools.
From 2001 through 2009, Brown won 10 or more games each year. This is the longest active streak of seasons with 10+ wins in the nation.
The Longhorns under Brown were 32-17 against their four archrivals: Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas Tech.
The Longhorns were 10–5 in Bowl games under Brown.
With Bobby Bowden's retirement after the 2009 season, Brown became first among all active coaches with 20 consecutive winning seasons.(until his losing season in 2010–2011 5–7)
Mack Brown won the 2008 Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year award from the Bobby Dodd Foundation.[38]
In 2012 he was elected third vice president of the American Football Coaches Association which places him in line per AFCA tradition to move up one level each year until becoming president in 2015.[39]
When combined with his brother Watson Brown, they compose the pair of brothers with the most combined wins, and the most combined losses, in NCAA Division I football history.
LINK

After looking at his resume it is safe to say that Mack Brown was a great coach, and will be in the College Football Hall of Fame. Anybody that thinks he was not a great coach is a moron.

Now? No. Silly to want a coach gone after the 1st game of the yr. imo

Equally as silly not to see red flags after 9 L's in 2 seasons and one game.

So, were you among those who wanted miles gone in 09 cause LSU football would never be relevant again as long as he remained?

OK. Well, I was addressing those former pumpers who NOW say it's time for Miles to go.

OK. So, you saw red flags during those two seasons. Was that the very first time any of those red flags appeared to you or are you just counting losses?
