Why call yourself a fan?...
You compain about the Defensive performance in a 210 yard and 7 point shut down of Vandy (who went 7-6 with a bowl win last year)...
If the offense doesnt get stagnant in the 3rd and early 4th quarter, we win 30-9 at least, and you would not even be complaining, but singing praises...

Unfortunately you are right on the money. Our offensive line attrition over the last several years is coming back to haunt us. This is a program issue as is the fact we are so thin on Dline and apparently not that talented there either. Nevis is the only top flight talent we have on the Dline. On the Oline the only top flight guy is Black who has played poorly for two straight games now. We are average at best at the linebacker spot. We are thin at the reciever spot. We are average at safety. Our punting and kicking is average at best. We have struggled with two very average teams so far this year. Wait until Bama, Flrida, Ole Miss, georgia even. I think we have some program issues. We have been in a slow slide for a while now. I see at least 4 losses this year and next year looks really tough. We need to start asking ourselves some hard questions.

How bout we talk bout facts instead of your opinion. Fact...LSU is 2-0. Fact...LSU is 1-0 in the SEC. Fact...LSU is ranked it the Top 10 in the Coaches poll.

Some of what the OP says is right.
The interception was not a great defensive play that saved us. The Vandy WR dropped the ball and it landed in our hands.
There was another 4th down play (4th and 6 I think) where they converted without any LSU players within 5 yds of the WR.
There was a time not too long ago when it was 3rd and five, I felt good about it no matter who we were playing. Now, I'm not so comfortable with 3rd and 10. This defense lacks aggressiveness. The numbers looked good last night, but I dont think the defense played that great of a game. The defense was helped a lot by Vandy.
WIth all that said, who knows? If vandy would have scored again, maybe the offense opens up and we win anyway. Its all speculation. But as of now, I'm not too pleased with the DL and OL.

I can see that improvement is needed....that is both obvious and expected at this point in the season.
But for you and that dumbarse in Jax to think that you have much sports knowledge that you can successfully project that improvement to the degree that you already know the outcome of the rest of the season is pure buffoonery.

Me...I'll be content with 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the SEC, and a Top 10 ranking. I'll also be content with a coach who is 45-11 in 4 yrs and 2 games with 4 bowl wins including 2 BCS bowl wins and a national title, but you are welcome to your discontent.

was it bama's 3 quarters of poor play against florida int that made you so impressed with them?
the only team out of those 4 i have been mildly impressed with is florida and they played nobody yet.
i have seen a lot of teams struggling out there. vandy always plays a tough game. we beat them exactly like we normally do. vandy just hangs around. UW is obviously not the same team as last year.
our defense shut down vandy's offense. we have a qb that is protecting the ball. and is surrounded by some real playmakers.
when the time comes that we score 20 and lose, then i will have some concern. right now i wont go into any game feeling like we are going to lose.
