Is this how LSU usually reacts to losing a midweek game?

Tulane reacted like that because we've had a bad season and just dramatically beat our biggest rival who was ranked #2 in a one run game (we've been horrible in 1 run games this year). Tulane is 17-12 against LSU since 1998, not like we beat y'all for the first time. Trust me, this was not our "CWS" but it does mean more than a win over Nicholls.

And to further emphasize the point, here was Tulane's reaction after dramatically beating Wright State (which I guess by your logic was our "CWS" too)

I agree. It is not like they did anything to denegrate LSU. Tulane was simply enjoying their victory. Nothing wrong with that. Rantards.

It is meaningless game and the 17-12 record since 1998, means what? What's TOOLame's record against LSU in the post season...3 wins total. Two of those wins came in the 2001 Super Regional. When it counts LSU Baseball owns TOOLAME!

Thanks for the pics. They look great.

It was a great game. LSU could have packed it in but didn't. It's easy to tell they are a very good team with character.

It was an emotional win for us. We have been sputtering all year, we just hung on to beat the #2 team in the country and our starting pitcher pitched his first decent outing since I can remember.

Also, the Tigers showed emotion in winning at our place last year so let's not begrudge each other.

As for the turf, I'm a purist and would prefer the real stuff, too, but it has worked for us. We hosted the CUSA tourney last year through torrents of rain. We probably would not have gotten the games in without it.

And as for the fake bricks, we're getting the real ones when the money comes in. We just don't have the deep pockets like you guys.

Good luck this weekend and I look forward to the second game.

I think the logic that LSU fans are trying to get across is that Tooolame is lucky that we are even giving them the privilege to play us.

If these mid-week TU/LSU baseball games are meaningless then why did Paul Mainieri say this before the game?
quote:

I've never done anything to squash the excitement or play down a healthy rivalry that's always played in a great atmosphere, " Mainieri said. "We're going to do everything we can to be successful, and if we're not able to win this game, you're not going to hear me make the excuse it was between two tough SEC series

Tulane really should have thought twice about the field turf.

It's been rumored that our administration is thinking about putting turf down on the Tigue. If we do I'll die a little inside.

Are you sure? LSU would never ever do that. Must have been a weekend game in the CWS huh?

Apparently LSU is so much better than every other team that they don't show emotion during games.

The 17-12 record means it's not an aberration when we beat you and therefore our team was not celebrating like that because they beat LSU and that made the season, but because it was a dramatic win against the #2 team in the nation at a much needed time in a season where we've lost most of our close games. But continue to think we would rather go 2-54 with those 2 wins being against LSU than 54-2 with 2 losses to LSU.
