My apologies if this has already been discussed. But who hired Canada? Or do we know that? Could it be that Alleva was feeling heat from the O hire and went out and selected a flashy offense to get the heat off his back and therefore O has never seen Canada as "his man?"

Neither on the O train or off, but I dont think we're being told the full story here.

I say fire the AD and let the new AD meet with O and determine if the philosophy is sound or not. I have lost all respect and trust for Alleva/BOS/LSU admin.

O hired him. Alleva approved. It was all part of the binder

Until O said frick it and is now back on the same mindset that got him fired from Ole Miss

This would be catastrophic from a financial, football, and PR perspective

I think Canada's issues has little to do with his offensive production or Troy game. It seems it is more related to the way Canada conducts his business which is viewed as counter productive for LSU football program. I think O discussed the issues with key decision makers for LSU football and he has their buy in. So if Canada is fired after the Citrus Bowl it means the administration was ok to pay and fire him. O doesn't make these kind of decisions alone.

catastrophe is most definitely an overstatement.

How often are they paid a 3 million dollar buyout less than a year after being hired?

This is what I am getting at. The terms of his contract are fairly asinine and reek of a Alleva style contract. That's what makes me think this has very little to do with offensive game play and more to do with the fact that O and Canada dont jive and O wants HIS team to be HIS. Cant say that I blame him not wanting to fall on the sword for someone else's hire.

-They all have pros and cons. Obviously O is by far the biggest risk. I'm at a point right now that honestly I wouldn't mind if Herman, O or Jimbo led us out next year.

-Anyone else rooting for Ed O to get the job if we don't land Herman?

I feel like not only would he be the best man for the job, but he would appreciate it the most and give us some wiggle room. Outside of Herman there's no real legit home run candidates. I wouldn't mind it at all if he brought in a high profile OC.

Stop making excuses for O by saying Canada has issues. O should have vetted him and exposed any issues before he hired him.

We already have an AD that does not know how to hire and now we ad a HC to the list

Why can't people just admit they are not good at some thing and hire people with the skill set to fill the gap. It happens in business everyday.

And if you want to know why they are not firing JA- check out his contract wich goes until 2020 @725,000 a year with incentives that push to 900K

I don't care who hired him. He is a bright young mind and will go places. We need to keep him for another year and he will end leaving on his own to be a HC somewhere. He is the best solution for LSU.

I'm getting fricking tired of reading about Canada when there are rumors out there that aTm is going hard after Aranda.

Wow an actual intelligent rational thought.

It's turned this board into a disaster. In the real world, it's nothing.

Clearly it was a bad risk.

Remember when you said Odell wasn’t that good?

Member when you thought O was the best man for the job?

You can take my Odell comment out of context. But your quote on O is black & white
