Rashard Lawrence getting high praise from veteran Jordan Phillips sounds like he is having a great camp so far. LINK

Injuries slowed him down at LSU... and other than missing games it didn't seem like much. Injury or no injury, if he was on the field he was effective every single down. He didn't take breaks.

Great word to describe Rashard. He might not light up the stat book, but he’s going to do his job every single play and if he doesn’t make the play, he will create an opportunity for a teammate to make the play.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he has a better nfl career than college. Very good technique with excellent hand usage. Excited for his future.

He was stuck in a 3-4 scheme where he was used to eat blocks. Aranda's scheme didn't help our DL or DL recruiting

There was a clear difference in our defense over the past 2-3 seasons when he was on the field vs when he was sidelined from injuries.

He was THE recruit that was supposed to, and did IMHO, start us back to trenchers that could stand toe to toe with the Bama's and Clemson's of the CFB world.

A highly touted NLA recruit (much maligned area and people we are here N of Columbia) that Bama wanted bad that LSU got and held onto that goes on to be uber-solid.

With hindsight things on the lines did start to change after that. It was incremental, but exactly what we all expected (no matter which coach).

Got a good cook out of the deal too in Pops.

Heart of a Tiger and great ambassador for the LSU and the program. Hope he stays healthy and has many good years in the NFL.

Every time I watched him on a play, he seemed to pretty much always be in the back field making plays. When healthy, dude is as solid as can be. Hope that's the case in the pros he could be a steal.

Yea the 3-4 doesn’t put Alabama dlineman in the NFL at all lol. Aranda haters are so ignorant, Dline recruiting picked up after he arrived. Lawrence was a force when healthy and like all studs no scheme can hide that.

I agree. Lawrence when healthy, made a bid difference on the D-line.

He’s as good an interior Dlineman as we’ve had since Dorsey. When he’s healthy he’s unblockable man on man. There’s an argument to be made that if he’d have been a 4-3 DT he would have had better stats but it doesn’t change his effectiveness on defense. Doesn’t matter if he gets the sack or TFL or Chassion and White get em instead, he creates a lot of those opportunities.

The 2018 Florida game was some of his best work. Even though we lost, he broke out that day.
