I went to the Champions Club for the Indiana game this weekend and now instead of being able to get free refills on cokes and a buffet similar to the stadium club in football they just have regular concessions down there at the same prices as the rest of the stadium. I get that LSU wants to drain every penny from us but this seems short-sighted and really takes away from any added value for those level tickets. Now that you can buy booze anywhere in the stadium, I don't even understand what the point would be to pay all the extra money to sit down there and pay premium prices when you get the same services.

Ok, rant over.

The suites are not free either.
The suite owners select whatever food and beverage options they want for any particular game and they have to pay for concessions for their guests.

Wow that's BS. The $20 wasn't a bad deal for refills and unlimited burgers, hot dogs and pulled pork. Their salads and cookies were good too.

I brought this up in another thread this past Sunday after I bought a Champions Club ticket off of StubHub for the second game Saturday. I was surprised they turned the food service in the CC into a glorified concession stand.

I know many believe the CC seats are really great but frankly they are so low and close to the field that I lose depth perception.

Several of the fly balls we hit I just knew were homeruns when they left the infield and those didn't even make it to the warning track.

In my "regular" grandstand (green) seats there's never a doubt to me if a ball is out or it's just a long out.

What do you get for that now? Just free drink refills? This is dumb.

Should at least get 5-6 tickets for concessions, etc if it's just the same as concessions.

There is no $20 deal. It’s set up like a restaurant. You have a set menu and prices.

You like what you like. I like being behind the dugout and close to the field.

That is because you are used to watching the game from your regular seats. Like me, you've seen hundreds of games from the perspective of your regular seats and we learn to judge the fly balls from that perspective. That being said, it is a stretch for me to say that "there's never a doubt" whether a ball is over the wall or not.

Need to go to the fan friendly concessions like ULL! LSU focuses more on $$$ and less on fan experience. This causes many to eat before or after the game because of prices.

What concession options do they offer now? Is it at least good food?

Nope, basically the same stuff they offer all over the stadium. Makes no sense.

I'm pretty sure the more expensive ticket was for the location of the seats, air conditioned space to congregate, and clean, air conditioned, private bathrooms. There isn't supposed to be any space in Alex Box that include free food or cheaper food.

The luxury boxes upstairs don't include free or cheaper food of any sort, and their tickets are much more expensive than champion's club tickets.
