So by that logic if i'm accused of a crime that i was not in any way shape or form involved in (lets just say murder, rape, burglary...) i shouldn't obtain counsel because I know i'm innocent

"Usually." If there is "sufficient evidence," then why have no arrests been made yet

sufficient evidence to be questioned about it, not a full fledged arrest. Remember, innocent until proven guilty.

the idiocy of this board is reaching new epic proportions.

does this flipside of this mean Jarvis Landry is in deep doo-doo?

What happened?

Lee was asked if he had noticed a change in JJ since this happened and he was simply saying he hasn't seen a change and he gave an example of how JJ has just been his same old self.

One of the most ridiculous things I've read in a long time. Are you in the Taliban legal system?

seems like a overpublicized game of telephone. one person saw JJ at the bar and by the time it gets to witnesses talking to cops he was the one drop kicking lord douchealot in the mouth.

I dont know why you ppl are arguing about obtaining counsel being an indicator of guilt.

Rest assured, LSU's legal staff made the recommendation and possibly made the phone call to get the players representation (proboner, of course).

I told you stupid MFers not to jump to conclusions based on the victim's side of the story.

But rantards will be rantards.

I'm responding to the poster saying JJ is obviously involved---otherwise you don't hire an attorney.

Where have you been? This is such a wrong statement that it stands out in a sea of rumors, bullshite, and flat out stupidity. Holy shite man.

I'm saying that when all the information that is known as fact is considered, there is no way JJ isn't involved in this fight.

quote:

You really don't understand the legal system in this country, do you? I bet you watch a lot of FoxNews and believe everything they say on there.

I completely understand the legal system, as I have a LSU Law degree. I'm speaking to the specifics of this situation. Don't watch any TV news FWIW.

quote:

No. Yet you assume he is "involved" just because an attorney is representing him, along with multiple other players. So everytime someone gets a lawyer they are obviously "involved"?

Yes, I do. Based on the info at hand. Really guys, do you think that if there wasn't some involvement on JJ's part, that the BRPD wouldn't have figured this out by now? That Davenport, Johns and Landry would have disclosed this to the police? Use your head, kids. And yes, everytime someone hires a lawyer in a criminal case they are involved. People aren't randomly charged with unrelated crimes. This isn't TV.

quote:

Just because he was accused by some boys that got worked over doesn't mean shite. He would've been stupid NOT to lawyer up with the allegations being made. Note to self: Don't seek legal advice from Rick Rickles.

Um, there were several witnesses that ID him specifically as being involved here. See comments above about "lawyering up." A lot of people on this board have vast misconceptions about the criminal justice system apparently.
