8-4/9-3 here. I've been pleasantly surprised, and I ain't arguing one bit about it.

I don't make predictions, look at who our coach is. You never can tell.

Nah the same people that predicted 12-0, 11-1, 10-2 this year were same ones that predicted it last year and in 08. The threads start now because now they can.

If LSU was 7-3 right now I am sure you would have a thread by someone else proclaiming they were right about the season as well.

Considering that everyone who makes "predictions" is right only a small percentage of time and they love to gloat on the right guess and ignore the wrong ones.

Oh, I think 60-16 while playing in the SEC is very telling.

The trick is to keep your eyes/ears open so you can see/hear what it's telling you.

Amusing how every team LSU beats becomes "average" after we beat them in the minds of some, huh.

Who predicted a possible 11-1 season and pretty much no championship of any kind West, SEC, or National Title. It's still possible we could be 11-1 (if Auburn loses to USC) and not go to a BCS game. This has been a screwey season. I did not think Auburn would abuse our defense the way they did. I would like to have that game plan back, even halftime adjustments.

I was wrong this year. I said LSU would finish 7-5 this regular season. I thought LSU would lose to North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, and either Ole Miss or Arkansas. I think that I need to think more positively about our coach and our players.

I said 8-4. who would have thought Fla and Bama would be down this year. Goes to prove that when you lose good coordinators and a Heisman winning QB like Fla did, it will haunt you.
What happens if we lose the next 2? Would you still be singing? We all know that some predicted Ole Miss to be better this year. We all figured LSU would get by at least 1 if not 2 of the 5 tough games.
We also thought had UNC would be WAY better this year and not be in a disarray like they were when we played them.

Let's see. We all but lost to Tenn, but miracously pulled that off thanks to the stupidity of the Tenn D. so lets say we are really 8-2 for the sake of argument.
Losing the last 2 would not be a stretch, so yeah we are a penalty AFTER time expired from potentially being 8-4 if we lose the next 2.
I am not saying that will happen b/c I believe we will FINALLY beat Houston Nutt. HOWEVER, I would not bet on us beating Arky.

I said 9-3

Last year I said 9-3

and 9-3 (after RP left, 10-2 before) the year before.

We are short on good OL and need more depth on the DL, next season is looking like 10-2.

You say that like beating Tennessee at the end was a bad thing. You do know that a close win is still a win...right.

quote:

so lets say we are really 8-2

What good purpose would that serve?

Lets say we are 9-1 and 5th in the BCS going into the 11th game of the years cause.......WE ARE!

What happens if we lose the next 2

A lot of the "reality guys" come out of hiding to let us know they saw this coming back in Sept, would be my guess.

Man, you really seem upset that we are 9-1. Why would that be? Where is that reality some speak bout. Appears you might have loss touch with it, huh.

I said 7-5. I may have even gone as low as 6-6.

I was wrong, and it's never felt so good to be wrong.

I am EXTREMELY excited about being 9-1! Am DAMN glad I was wrong. I was just pointing out how close to 8-4 or worse we really are. That is what most people (coaches and media) have against us e.g. not giving us our due respect.
