This may sound dumb but everytime (all near 100 times) ive come out from under that concourse and see Tiger Stadium I feel
Awe
Excitement
Pride
but the one people need to really hold onto is RESPONSIBILITY. Without the fans carrying the water its just a big building. It aint loud by itself.
All of this.
I've been fortunate enough to have attended close to 100 games over the past two decades (home/away/neutral site). I still get chills EVERY time I first see the field when I'm walking to my seat from the concourse.
I believe my responsibility as a fan attending a game is to do whatever it takes to help my Tigers win. I yell damn near at the top of my lungs every defensive snap. Then I try to turn it up to 11 on down and long plays, 3rd/4th downs, or every play on drives where we need a big stop. I think I've gotten enough practice over the years that I've conditioned my voice so that I'm not hoarse the next day, aside from the first game I attend each year to get back into form

That was David Green. Stafford was a few years later.
But that game was the best game I've ever attended. I was in the student section. After Georgia scored to go a head, the entire stadium started an LSU chant that was electric. Then Mauck hit Skylar on that deep ball and it exploded.
The second best game I attended was Florida 2007.
I can't remember a game in the past 12 years that lives up to those 2 games. That doesn't mean that there haven't been loud games. Those 2 games were just extraordinary.

I traveled to a lot of big 12 stadiums following Iowa State around and I noticed they don't make noise until 3rd or 4th down. At LSU, 3rd or 4th down just makes it even louder.

Unfortunately all those quotes are about the old Tiger Stadium.
Not so fast, Pawpaw... imma get off your lawn, but before i go, that quote about "it was so loud I couldn't see the signals because my eyeballs were vibrating" was from the South Carolina QB - 2000&something?- they were #3, it was Les vs Spurrier, their dreams came here to die. Loudest game I have ever personally attended.

This was the game against A&M in 2015

The one where everyone was positive Les was going to be fired so the energy supporting the program was at basically an all time low during the last 20 years?
Or maybe Manziel's trip his last year, when it was drizzling "a heavy dew" and nasty windy and cold AF, and it was a boring game, we were totally in control and they never put up much resistance... I sat on my hands in the SEZ; it was miserable, except for the beating the Faggies & Johnny Football part
