Please see how Alley Broussard and Richard Murphy's career has gone since tearing a knee ligament.

No way it's a career ender. I think he's just frustrated his season is over.

i just find it hard to believe that a guy as highly touted a DE as he was coming out of HS would give up on a career after one knee injury. Its not the 80's people fully recover from ligament surgeries all the time. Not guaranteeing he will but it happens.

Knee injuries are serious. Not only for football but for the rest of his life. i Wish him a speedy recovery.

not sure I've ever seen any one in that much pain from a knee...I thought he'd caught a knee in the nuts

i won't call the ripping of a ligament non-serious, but they're very routine and have a super-high success rate

plus I have to think a DL can come from a knee injury easier than a RB

I need to post something I saw after the game. As we were leaving the stadium Sam and the trainers were going through the portal into another room. He was on crutches and in sweats. There were 2 trainers with him. As he passed in front of us, a little kid (maybe 8 or 10 years old) said are you Sam Montgomery? Sam said yes he was. The kid asked if he could shake his hand. Sam stopped and turned and shook the little kid's hand. You know he was in pain and upset about what happened to him but he still made sure to stop for that kid. CLASS ACT!

I tore my ACL in high school, and then again playing intramurals at LSU. Two surgeries later and my knee is probably about 85%. Granted, I didn't get the rehab as these guys do but I don't think you ever fully recover to 100%.
