I started playing baseball at a very young age. As I got older I realized it was the sport for me. Ended up playing college ball for 4 years and still wish I could play today.

Exactly. There is an unseen world of strategies, adjustments, counter-adjustments, playing percentages, gambles, etc. As you come to recognize all the shite that is really going on under the surface it's facsinating and exciting as hell.

I started playing when I was 7. Starting young, friends that played with me, and then enjoying the hell out of it win or lose. The flame for it just kept getting hotter. And .....

Seems he is just responding to some of the posts...ie: you have to be "smarter" than the avg. sports fan to appreciate baseball, and most of the posters have played the game (I guess like soccer fans)...myself, I enjoy the college playoffs but otherwise, college football is what I enjoy most. To each his own!
