Is the passer taught to jump before making the pass ala Tebow?? Seems to me like it would be a lot easier to make that pass with your feet planted.

I think it was just a quicker way to release the ball since all of his momentum already had him going forward after faking the run. If he stops to set his feet he is going to get lit up by the rush.

It probably worked great in practice when the punter's heartbeat wasn't 4000 bpms like it was in the game.

I agree. It seems to me that jumping makes it harder to complete a pass.

if it was designed to go to Patrick Queen on the left it would have been a perfectly designed play. The whole defense funneled in when he faked the run. All Queen had to do was fake the block and release, and he would have been gone for 6.

I think he may have needed to jump to see over the def. linemen raising up to try to block it.
Trouble was he shot put it, not threw it.
