a cat and mouse game between Saban and Nick on that. By that I mean LSU will try to work the edges with speed to wear down those big LBs, Nick will adjust, which could loosen things up in the middle
I agree... I look for Saban to have his OLB/DE play up and out, when flow goes thier side to drive hard upfield and try to contain it, turn it inside.... also, to bring the Safety up fast and agressive when they read sprint out/option. Either of these opens up the Option pass, and cut back run.. It would open up some nice lanes to run some counter plays off a fakes..

TBob sprung Ford on the almost-TD run OT
No way, buddy. T-Bob made a good block on that play, but it probably only added two or three yards to the run. The LB was WAAAAY behind Ford and would not have caught him until Ford got to the sideline. Plus, although it was a nice block by T-Bob, it was an easy block, too. T-Bob has a great heart and great football IQ, but his talent is not enough to start for LSU - particularly against Bama.
I look for T-Bob to make some small contributions to a great victory over Bama and then become a fixture on the Louisiana sports radio scene for many years to come. He has a great media personality.

Their D-line is really good, but I do expect a cat and mouse game between Saban and Nick on that. By that I mean LSU will try to work the edges with speed to wear down those big LBs, Nick will adjust, which could loosen things up in the middle, Les comes back with Hilliard up the gut, etc.
Working the edge not only forces the LB's to run. The DL have to pursue as well, and it causes them to fatigue as much as the LB's. Once LSU gets Bama pursuing I hope to see some counters and reverses to take advantage of the situation.

I really think $abun will burn Duron Carters redshirt for this game. It will give them a large WR presence on the outside....
Yeah,.....uh Carter 'aint all that".

Sidelines and back shoulder throws.
.....and McCarron 'aint all that either. His accuracy sucked trying to hit RB's being covered by LB's. You think he's gonna light it up on a nationals championship stage against 2 All-American cornerbacks with a receiver that hasn't played a down against major college competition in 2 seasons?
