Way to take my quote out of context. By saying I don't want what has happened this year to happen next year I mean that I don't want a QB controversy. Would I take the controversy for National Championships? Surely, everyday. Still doesn't mean its a good thing to have QB bickering issues, and most importantly on-field issues.

It's overuse none of u have seen Rivers throw the ball. I think we should wait for the fall practice before we pick the QB's.

from practice reports, he throws the best ball on the team and is the fastest QB.
It's assumed mett will be the starter for next year, but it was also assumed he would take over for JJ as well by the end of the oregon game.

why would you care what ANY QB did in high school?
Serioulsy.. didnt he play in 2A ball in FLA?
Furthermore wasnt there just mention of this last week by LM?.. I though someone posted a link.
IDGAF what one of these qbs did in high school.
College football and SEC are different worlds.
Mett has 2 yrs to play.. do you think JR wants to sit on the bench for 2 more yrs, when he may could get on earlier at another postion?

You can see things such as armstrength quickness of release etc. no matter what defense he is playing.

One of the reasons he came here because we offered him as a qb. The guy will have 2 years of playing time after Mett leaves. In interviews he is a very humble guy, multiple reports say he is a big student of the game. I think a kid like that would have the maturity to say that my time is coming. Just like Mett doesnt seem to be bothered by being on the sidelines this year.

Randall may be a QB ,but he wont be starting ahead of Mett. He will be a situational backup like RP was for Flynn. Our Offense next year will look more like Arkansas with Ryan Mallet and less like it does this year. Randall has 2 years to grow before he gets a potential shot. I just dont see Miles going anything close to 50/50 on QB snaps next year unless there is some kind of disaster.

If he is the best guy for the job and thats where he can benefit the team the best.. Im all for him.

I never said anything different from that. Metts our QB for the next 2 years. After that I thinkhes the QB unless we get Kiel and hes otherworldly(both questionable things)
ETA pur offense will never be like Arkansas. We will still run the ball 65 percent of the time.
