I would comment that there is no such thing as "first team reps" in spring practice.
Summer... maybe.
Fall camps- who runs with the 1st does matter then.
In general, we never had a true QB competition in many years past (let's just say pre-Burrow). Coaches already knew who they wanted and wasn't anything going to change that (barring injury or offseason arrests). So not really bitching at you, but let it happen... and don't read too much into it while it happens. To find out who the starter is going to be (going into fall camps) they all have to be putting in the same reps.

I can confirm that Max has taken the reins and the defense has taken major steps forward.

Thank you sir! I don’t listen to all these goons on here and that guy that was supposedly at the scrimmage. I have a first hand contact with the team who says Max is taking first team reps and doing very well. Brennan is doing good too. It’s a good problem to have. Nothing wrong with a good QB battle. Let the best man win. But as of now, Max hasn’t done anything but show out.

Max transferring would be my biggest concern. Brennan is a very good QB, but Max seems to have a better feel for the game and is more mobile. Max has already been screwed over once with the TJ thing, and if Brennan is given the job because of seniority, it could be bye bye Max.

If we have depth of talent that causes transfers, it's a good problem. Damn sure beats the years of not liking any qb on the roster
