BTW, I think Burrow is a significant upgrade as much as I liked Etling. Burrow can deliver the ball which is the sine qua non of playing QB. LSU has not had that in forever. But, yeah, he cannot do it by himself.

Fisher had his opportunity to come back to LSU and turned it down. Or do you know something the rest of us don't know? Or something about the situation that I don't know?

Yes he is, and he isn't the only one.

Could have hired 20-30 coaches better than Eaux. Didn't interview any of them. Commitment to excellence right there. The posters who supported this shite deserve it

Well, I say Fisher would have come, but my understanding is that he is not a fan of Mr. Alleva. Who knew...

I agree. Probably more than that.

That's the thing that is puzzling. Why not bring in 10 to 15 candidates. There was plenty of time to do something like that. I've seen lots of people on here post that nobody was going to come to LSU, but who the hell knows unless you interview some of them. It was just a flat arse lazy job done by Alleva and anybody else that may have been involved in the hiring process.

Totally agree. I was very hopeful that we'd be very thorough given the time available. Even if we hadn't generated a list of folks by the time we let miles go, we had time to do a very thorough search and interview several people. There was absolutely no rush. Even when Herman fell through, the smart move was to hit reset and then regroup.

You just try to beat everyone to the podium to say we got our guy. Yea we sure did. Won the Eaux Sweepstakes. Thank you Joe. He told us he wanted a championship caliber coach and by God he went out and got Ed Orgeron.

This was and IS the biggest problem with LSU right now. Nobody likes Alleva. No coach with any other decent opportunity wants to work for him.

Actually, he was turned down when it was decided that Les would get one more year. After that, I think he was done with LSU or more precisely, Alleva.

I really think Jimbo wants to be at LSU. I think once Alleva is gone, he’d jump ship from A&M in a heartbeat to come to LSU.

yup

shite i had posted a list of the top 20 i would offer. sure you can't make them say yes but you keep going down the line. i listed college coaches and NFl OC and DC's and some who were currently out of work. one is back working now for a NFL team. i made that list of 20 so the pumpers and garglers of the board could not sit there and say Oh he would never come here or the usual BS

it is fascinating we have GRADE A frickING FOOTBALL MORONS here who think O was more qualified than 129 Div 1 coaches and pro coaches?

No, a troll would be saying the worst coach in the history of ole miss football is one of the 20-30 best people available to coach Lsu today. Which is what you're saying.
