The annual LSU fan tradition of "we may have dropped some games to mediocre teams, but we're totally gonna run the table and beat Bama". Has yet to ever manifest in reality, but this year is definitely the year

Good point but there is 2003. We lost to a mediocre Florida team and ran the table. In all likelihood we lost 1 or 2 more games this year. The key is how the team responds this week and if/when they lose again.

In the era of the transfer portal and NIL, teams are new every year now.

Most logical fans didn't really expect a national championship in year one. With that said, with paying Lane 12 Million/yr and having spent tons of money on the roster, we expect to at least compete to get into the playoffs and that has been put on life support. With NIL, those days of 3-4 year build projects are over.

I never saw a mass of people say we should win it all this yr. But it was reasonable to think we could make a first round of the playoff even if it was the 12th seed. It's not that reasonable now with 2 losses in games we should have won and Bama Texas and at Tennessee still to go not come to mention at Auburn.

This is an entirely new team, all the way around.

This will be the case every year in the NIL ERA

Thank god Lane doesn’t have his head in the sand, operating this program with 2009 values. WAKE UP ranter

I get it but ...nowadays 50-70% of the roster changes every year. How can teams gel if it takes time and there are so many new players every year?
