I can't think of another instance of the back-up QB receiving the love of a nation like Lee is. I fricking love it.

True..honestly Robb im not a fan of Lee but did feel for him last nite, thinking he should have been given a chance and if he didnt come through why not Mettenberger, he's your starter for next yr, why not give him a try?...just sayin'...

In 10 years when they honor this 2011 team in Tiger Stadium as SEC Champs he will be getting the loudest applause from the fans, no doubt about it. The question is will Jefferson even show?

Even non LSU fans were pissed Lee didn't get a chance to play. I honestly thought Les would use 2 QB's during that game, strange.

Jarrett Lee played his cards exactly the way he should have. His actions of not saying anything negative towards Miles & Coaching staff plus his standing on the sidelines with helmet on & stretching did in Les Miles at LSU. If Lee had quit or transferred out he would have been vilified by some of the LSU faithful as a selfish player who was only concerned about himself and not the team. Well Lee stuck it in their and whoever advised this kid behind the scenes deserves a tremendous amount of credit along with Lee for sticking to this game plan of being a teammate first and player second.

If Lee had quit or transferred out it would have had an impact on his ability to be drafted or picked up the NFL. Lee's actions here actually show he has the maturity level for the NFL and creates a perception that he was missued at LSU and is worthy of being drafted. This was a brilliant strategy and I look forward to seeing if it pays off--he very well could be a late round draft pick whereas Jordan Jefferson won't be selected.

Les Miles WILL NEVER earn back the respect he lost from not just the National Championship game but also from the SEC Championship from the fans and players despite whatever efforts the LSU PR team tries to do.

Hats off to whoever guided this kid because if my son were a player who wanted to make it to the next level I would hire that advisor/future agent in a NY minute. One day we will find out who was in Jarrett Lee's ear because they did a terrific job of preparing this kid mentally to withstand the heartache he suffered as a result of not just Les Miles but the OL coaching staff.

If Lee does make it in the NFL, Miles will have some tough days ahead. His judgement can legitimately be challenged by the fanbase

Jarrett Lee accepted an invitation to play in the Casino Del Sol All Star game in Phoenix, AZ hours before the NC game. This is the premier NLF evaluation bowl on the West Coast. Lee is starting. A press release for a back-up QB? Hmmmmm

It's like Gary Danielson said: J Lee was the MVP of this year's football team

It's a shame he had to spend the last few weeks riding the bench while JJ got the nod for performing well against 3 wretched defenses.

He could have helped us out Monday night. F Miles

What done is done. We can't say or do to change it. Just hope that Les Miles will learn from this and bring us that crystal trophy next year.

JL will get more snaps in that (one) game than he has since October 22nd.

Time to shine again, General Lee.

I hope Lee makes it in the NFL. Miles will look even worse if Lee does make it.
