I dont get it. He was so God early in the year and month ago he just started not being able to hit his spots. I'm no pitching Guru, but I don't understand.

That’s why you leave bras as the starter. As long as you have the lead, he stays in. When you need offense, sub reaves

think he did that so Evans could get his standing ovation

You do not risk losing a regional over something as trivial as that.

Even if we believe that, you pull him after the leadoff hit that inning. Not two batters and another base runner later. .

I’m not gonna say the book is out on him but you
Can’t walk one then hit the next ! That has been in characteristic for him!

I read earlier that Jay is an imbecile.

The catastrophe syndrome with some fans is laughable.

I'm not saying I wasn't stressed but he did his job and got it done.

I can think of a few posters who should be put on the spot but I'll refrain from doing so.

I’m glad Jay was able to solve his pitching frick ups by putting out a good new lineup.

If you start Evans the game is closer earlier on, but you also lose him sooner. I can actually get the reasoning here. You had your 2 best pitchers to finish out the game.

It's a shame Cowan has dropped off, but the other two picked it up for LSU.

Jay tried to blow his goodwill from the lineup by trotting Evans back out for the 8th inning. I know he only wanted Eyanson for one inning, but Cowan blew that plan.

Evans walked 3 guys in the 7th, he got out of it. He was done.
I had no problem letting Evans go batter to batter. He had Cano on the ropes and he fouled off 4 pitches and then did what he's done against every pitcher he's faced this weekend.

The next batter hit a perfectly executed pitch, and Reaves wasn't positioned correctly. That's probably two if he's where he's supposed to be.

I didn't hate the decision. It all worked out and Eyanson only threw 20 pitches.

Possiibly true, but they really had to stretch it as much as they could. They got as much out of the other 2 as they possibly could. It worked out really well.

I said the same thing (in so many words).

Agreed. He was locked in and while he walked 3 guys, he was still focused.

Not trying to dump on Cowan but he derailed quickly in the first inning. Manage those emotions and he can be a force. When he's on, he's on.
