LSU has an outstanding program. Compare the present team to the Archer-Hallman era from the 90s. LSU went nearly half a decade w/o a winning season.

Anyone who has watched football for 20 years or more understands that this LSU team is a case of Talent trumping Coaching

Coaches can't win without talent...and talent can't win without coaching...period. If strictly talent could win than USC, Texas, and UF would be undefeated right now.

Talent alone has not won nearly 60 games the last 5 1/2 years.

Choctaw, what did you think of the mass confusion on 4th and 6 coming out of a timeout?

were you thinking "damn, where have we seen shite like this before?"

We haven't had a losing season since the 1990s,
Since when do we define success as a winning season. We have been a classic underacheiving teams the past two years. Our offense is among the worst in the nation after being one of the best. In past years, down by 7 with 5 minutes to go, you were pretty confident we would score. Not now. All that said, we are still 7-1 which is better than what most people expected at this point in the season. Let's see how the rest of the year plays out. Win out and it is a great year.

some people are satisfied with just a winning season...8-5 in 2008 was a success in their eyes.

I was trying to figure out if Lee was calling an audible....than i was thinking "WTF are our WR's doing?" Everyone seemed to know what the hell was going on except the WRs....everyone else was lined up and ready to go.

is that attributable to attention to detail? coming after a timeout and your players don't know whats going on?

Chock will just throw Crowton under the bus. Corky can do no wrong in Chock's eyes.

SEC West, SEC Championships are what people mean. We aren't exactly racking them up recently.
The SEC West is not exactly easy this year. There are 5 ranked teams in our division. I don't think anyone goes unbeaten. Why don't we let it play out before we throw in the towell. Auburn didn't lock up the west with a win over us. They still have 3 games to play and 2 of those are on the road. Anything can happen, we just have to get back to winning football against Bama.

Each year against the SEC from game 9 on.

2007: 3-1
2008: 0-3
2009: 1-2

Ole Miss and Bama have been top 25 teams the last two years. I think this is very picky.

We just didn't have a good team in 2008. We have still finished at the 5th and 3rd highest ranked SEC teams the last two seasons.

There is no reason to think we will lose to Ole Miss. I think it is pretty realistic to think we will split the Bama/Arky games. The only game loss we weren't in the last two years was 2008 Ole Miss.

Seemed to me like everyone was lined up and ready to go except for the WRs. Blame it on whoever you want.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

Every top coach on our team has helped coach a team to a NC and other top finishes. It is stupid to completely blame them for everything. We just have some huge under performers on this team also.

There is plenty of blame to go around.

That's like trading a Benz or Lexus for a Corolla, and saying "well at least it's not the Datsun I drove in high school."
