answer honestly.

Lots of parallels right now between the 2 schools. Both had Great success earlier in the decade but seem to have taken a considerable step back the past two years.

LSU went 9-3 this year but were also whipped on the statistical sheet in several games.

LSU for sure... With the amount of talent currently playing, advancing redshirts (becoming contributors next year) and the level of incoming talent (ESPECIALLY if Class of 2011 remains 80% intact or greater - # of recruits academically qualified, no/few de-commits).

Hope your right.

I think UGA turns it around next year.

LSU IS A WEAK 9-3 TEAM. THERE I SAID IT. WHO did we beat that was worth a frick this year - or even last for that matter. GO play schedules like we used to play in the 80's and this team would be 7-5 MAYBE. go look at the "88 schedule as an example.

UGA will struggle to make it to 7 wins next year. They are in MUCH worse shape than LSU.

What's your criteria Head-to- head this year? Record this year? Bowl destination this year?

LSU easily. LSU is a better team now, has better recruiting and would probably be more attractive to potential coaches in the event of a coaching search. In all honesty, they are very close, but I can't think of a good reason why UGA would be better.

LSU and it's not even close. Better recruting base, better recruiting network. More talent on campus. Just need to get the coaching fixed, and we will be ready to roll.

LSU fans amaze me sometimes. Jeez man have a clue. Count the Georgia players on SEC rosters and then check back with me on the recruiting base not being even close.

LSU is a great program but this is a delusional post.

i don't know uga's shape. they lost some key play makers, esp QB and didn't replace them immediately. their defensive problems are obvious and looks like they are trying to change that. however, both programs recruit damn well and have good coaches at the top so they will both be OK.

Georgia has to compete with many other top tier schools in a close vicinity. And you have GT in your state while LSU has no in-state rival. LSU can take the top players in the state and has talent rich Texas right next to us. That is why it is a better situation at LSU

Georgia.

They can EASILY steal the SEC East next year and make it to Atlanta.

LSU will have a much harder road to the SECCG.

LSU definitely has a better recruiting base. LA has the most NFL players per capita and LSU is the only major in state school. UGA has to share and be invaded by UF, BAMA, Auburn, UT while LSU has to be concerned with Mississippi schools( ). Which brings me to my next point. LSU has major in roads to Mississippi, the second placed state in the nation with NFL players per capita. Not to mention, we get our fair share from Texas, the high school football capital of the world.
eta. Steve Spurrier once said LSU was the place that could be most dominant in the SEC if they got a good coach because the financial support, but most importantly the recruiting base. You really can't argue who has an overall better recruiting base.
