No doubt Bama has more talent but I guarantee you an OC worth a shite would have had LSU in the game at least.
I fully believe Canada wouldve scored. Until the last drive of the game last week we had 133 yards and 10 1st downs

Apparently the offense has been good enough to get them to 7-2 and what will probably be a 10 win season.
Tell me genius what would you have called from the comfort of hind site? What brilliant play would you have called when you were just trying to get something positive going? From that field position you can either call three running plays and punt or you can take a shot. So lay some greatness on me, what would you have called?

Tell me all you football coaching wonders. How do you make adjustments when on running plays your O line is getting pushed into the backfield and on passing plays your QB is scrambling for his life?
We've covered this in about 75 threads but you people don't understand reason.
And again, this isn't about Alabama only. This has been a problem all year. We threw for 2 feet against SLU in the second half. TWO FEET. NO passing touchdowns since September. Ranked 104th. Horrid against LA Tech for a long stretch of the game. Is our OL not talented enough to play against SLU too?
Alabama this, Alabama that. F that noise. The offense has been bad most of the year.
And since you bring up Alabama, is our Oline not as talented as Arkansas or Tennessee or other teams that scored against Alabama early in the game? If not, don't you think we should try to scheme some of the thigns that help with that?

nsminger knows more about football than all you morons put together
Great, so did John Heisman - would you want him as our current coordinator? Football is a constantly evolving game and a guy who hasn't been a coordinator since the kids playing for him were born is suddenly the best in the country?

We've gotten to 7-2 despite the offense. Something we've had to try to do for 10 years. Why are we making it harder on ourselves? Why are we handcuffing ourselves needlessly?
Alabama has a great OL, but are they just lining up and beating people man to man? No, they've gotten aggressive with their scheme and mix in so many different things that they can do well that you can't plan properly for it all. Their offense is so good they lead the nation in points with their starters barely playing in the second half all year. They could be averaging a record amount of points if they wanted too.
You strive to make your offense as good as it can be - so that if you need to score 30 points on a good Florida defense, you're capable of doing that. Most of the smart coaches in college football understand that. Thats why Les Miles was left behind.
Currently, our offense isn't doing that. Not even close. They are bad at a lot of things and constantly put themselves in position where they have to do those things well in order to be successeful.

This past off season Ensminger spent most of his time with the Saints. The best offense in the NFL. I doubt that they infused him with dinosaur ideas.

I for sure wouldve tried to move the pocket around instead of letting Burrow drop back into the same spot the entire 2nd half. DID YOU SEE A SINGLE ROLL OUT CALLED?
I wouldve straight up abandoned any heavy formation unless its an obvious short yardage situation and gotten as many bama defenders away from the line as possible.
I would have stopped putting Burrow under center which makes it harder to read a defense during the qbs drop.
I would've at least run some wrs screens to attack the weakest link of bama's team.make those cbs make tackles instead of lbs and dlinemen.
And hell i would've called a couple trick plays.
Why not try a halfback pass?

He's too old and is not very innovative whatsoever so the chances of him ever making in game adjustments is zero.

You dont call long developing plays like the dumb one above. Also, there are dozens of programs with less oline talent than us and they field competent offenses.
Also, stop acting like this is just a Bama game thing. You get to week 10 and have one of the worst offenses in cfb by just having a bad bama game.
Don't expect answers to questions like this - then they would have to admit there are problems with the scheme.

Miles spent 3 years with Cam Cameron and never once ran the air coryell offense that cam runs. When youre an oc under the gun, you go with what you know. The saints offense is heavioy predicated on having one of the most accurate qbs to ever walk the planet that has mastered Payton's offense.

excellent point
jimbo used to call lots of rollouts especially in 2000 with a new not so great line.

yep. miles did these in 2008 and 2010 at Auburn for TD's!

They never once moved the pocket.
They kept putting burrow under center knowing its harder to read the defense while dropping.
We tried none of that shite.
Everyone knows you cant attack bama traditionally and they did both times Ensminger was the oc.

How many yards did Burrow have rushing vs UGA compared to vs Bama? What gives Saban defenses the most problems?

Link for that? I believe they spent a day together?

Every RPO, he gave the ball up.
I never expected to beat bama but i didnt want to look worse than last year on offense.

Well, half glass full, I will say the same thing as I did about the Troy loss last year. Hopefully this team will learn from this and be able to improve next year. They definitely have taken a step this season. IF they can win these next 3 games, that will be a damn good season.

Name one of our offensive starters who is going to be a 1-2 rd draft pick when they are draft eligible
The quick answer is; there isn’t one
We are talent deficient as frick on offense this year. Smoke and mirrors have gotten us this far but that doesn’t work against Bama. The upperclassmen on offense are talent deficient like last years front seven on defense (remember the 10 seniors who didn’t get drafted and none made an NFL roster)?
We should have two stud RB coming in. Hopefully Parish will be a solid QB and we are actually giving a young QB some time to mature (Brennan). Marshall and Chase should develop and the other two freshmen who are redshirting are excellent athletes.
Rosenthal hopefully can fill in at LT so that Charles can go back to RT where he belongs. Hines has great potential and hopefully Thomas is a Trai Turner clone
We need more talent and depth on offense
