Price change in game worn equipment

Helmets were $200 in 2019....now $400
Cleats were $10 (remember seeing people buying a ton to flip them on eBay)...now $50
Jerseys were $80....now $150
Is it due to COVID (LSU trying to make money) or because it was the Natty gear that LSU could not sale due to spring game getting canceled last year? My guess is a little of both.

It’s been that way for a while. Not Covid related. One they can get it and two equipment is much more expensive now.

Just seems odd they doubled the price on them within a span of a couple years. I collect the helmets (bought one every game since my junior year in high school and I’m about to graduate college) and they have always been $200. Like you said though, I still bought mine this year so a win for them

8....have the purple one that changes colors also along with a white one signed by Bert and Chark. Also along with the ones I bought at the spring games every year. Most of them signed.

Spring game they sell helmets, jerseys, gloves, and cleats. All game worn or stuff they did not use during the previous season. Also, do not expect a popular player jersey. LSU usually keeps those. Closest I got to a starter was Tyler Shelvin Jersey.

LSU Athletic Dept. revenue is down tens of millions of dollars due to the Covid year. Loss of revenue from football ticket sales alone has to be staggering!

Economics. They realized were selling them for way less than what people will pay, so they raised prices. We also won a national championship that year, so our brand is more valuable now.
